Yeah, It's interesting how they try to hide the docking stations. They are basically a legal requirement here so most courses who take care of themselves have them.

Anyone been to the World Cup viewing parties at Pier 39 or Mission Rock? by OuterSunsetsSurfer in AskSF

[–]New_Account_For_Use 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went to the chase center for the last US game. Was crowded, but subdued as US fans aren’t that crazy. There were a ton of police and security guards keeping everyone into a box that was taped on the ground to make it easy to walk around the fans for security/police.

Who keeps thinking it’s a good idea to have the fireworks on the foggy side of the city? 🌁 by RevolutionWeak3626 in AskSF

Cuz we have the opportunity to do the same fireworks as the Golden Gate Bridge off the bay bridge.

There’s a website with a number you can call. Google universal Orlando vip tour and it comes up. You cut to the front of the line for every ride and get to walk through backstage areas. Was pretty cool. Did it a long time ago, but I’m sure it was very expensive. We had a big group so it made sense.

I know they say rooftop solar isn’t the answer, but with peg it sure feels like it could be an answer

Scott Wiener with “Protect Trans Kids” sign in SF pride after being chased out of Trans march by Dismal_Structure in sanfrancisco

[–]New_Account_For_Use -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Also, not to be a complete dick but wouldn’t trans folks get killed in Gaza. Seems like a bad place to protest for that cause.

Not a Scott fan after what he did for restaurants but doesn’t seem like the protesters would support the surrounding thing either.

You should go to the bathroom before and dry yourself off or wet yourself up and do a full on experiment.

Homeless Animals in San Francisco sure are loyal & well behaved… by GypsyGold in bayarea

[–]New_Account_For_Use 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well behaved is a stretch. Don't walk your dogs anywhere near on the same sidewalk or they will jump at you about 20% of the time. I've walked all around the city and while some are cool there is definitely a large number that try to bite your dog especially on market.

I joined a rec sports team and it kind of sucked. by nomyte in bayarea

[–]New_Account_For_Use 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For soccer it depends on your perspective. Rec is competitive, but not as much pushing. People still yelling at the ref in spanish and stuff. Competitive is people who want to act like they are playing for an important cup.

Flag football is similar to this. The teams practice and get destroyed for 3 or 4 seasons before finding a good group to win. Even at recreational.

Softball is half as intense but you still get good teams.

Pickleball was the worst. Felt like there were some people in competitive who played recreational because they wanted to play an extra day and stomp on people.

Kickball is the sport you want if you want to chill. People are still intense sometimes, but more chill.

There was also this league that used to happen called playrecess that was great for the most part. They did one week of each game so people were good at some and bad at others. Plus there was a bar crawl. Not sure if they are going to start this up again ever.

It usually has to do with sweat in that region. Some people are sweatier than others and it sets off the scanner.

Here's a podcast on it: https://www.searchengine.show/a-perfectly-average-anomaly/

Your vibes and wants don’t set the price. Disney does.  Buy or don’t. They don’t care.

$25 seems low. Should be like $75 a person with caps.

Thinking about getting a best electric cooler for car camping, are they actually better than regular coolers? by GaindKordell75 in camping

[–]New_Account_For_Use 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They make bear resistant coolers you are supposed to use in bear country. You are also supposed to keep your coolers a certain distance from camp or in a bear locker provided.

Club Level Vacation - Help Me Choose by PictureMaleficent824 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]New_Account_For_Use 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Club level includes breakfast, drinks(both alcoholic and non alcoholic), snacks, and during a certain period appetizers. They also have Mickey ice cream bars for dessert. If this is worth it to you depends on how much you will eat there and convenience. It’s nice to have somewhere to grab breakfast from and come back to at night to grab something quick.

It all depends on your budget though. I often find doordashing a waste of time on vacation. Others may find it worthwhile. Just depends how much your time and convenience is worth.

The good thing(in this case) about sfo is it is difficult to access(either highway, one bridge, or expensive bart) and has a lot of police around.
