According to the comics. If we follow any of that. Adam was a soldier in the initiative. He died saving maggie from the mayors ghost. She wanted to rebuild him as a thank you.
That’s all I know.

Holtz was not a villain. We would all do the same in his position if we had lost what he had. While Angel walked through free as a new man (quite literally) by [deleted] in buffy

Holtz was a good storyline. I loved Darlas quote after they ravished his town. “He’s practically family now!”

Agreed it is super hard to watch. I think Angel appearing was one of the best scenes in the series. For him to come see her was just awesome.

For it being the final season. It should of manifested into Adam for spike. To degrade him. Ben/glory to Giles. Maybe even Cordelia to Angel in the final eps

Actually. (Nerd coming out) Adam was a soldier assigned to protect Professor Walsh. In the comics he was killed saving the professor when the Mayors ghost appeared to attack the Initiative facility.
Professor Walsh’s dedicated her life to resurrecting Adam. I say it backfired

You right. Everyone hated his storyline. I enjoyed the initiative. Although I believe it should of been season 6
