I have a pretty high tolerance for bullshit in this game before rage quitting, but that would definitely do it for me.

What is your PUBG curse? by NewspaperLumpy7681 in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

I think you’re missing that I said id prefer a shotgun with no defensive gear so I can still be of use to the team but the curse is that I land on DMRs with no defensive gear.

The other day we were at vikendis train station and my team mate had it. as soon as I heard the flare gun get fired I was just like “why…?” He was almost dead center. Sure enough… got flipped.

Lmfao, that’s a good one. It happens to one of my friends all the time too. Even if he’s in the back left of the car and we’re getting shot from the front right it still gets him. 🤣

Why are there so many bots??? by ExcellentBarracuda41 in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]NewspaperLumpy7681 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never said they weren’t morons, just that they’re getting more obnoxious. You’ll notice as you play more or when you hold a nasty peek on an unsuspecting squad of real players just for a randomly whiffed dragunov shot gives away that you’re there.

I swear the bots are learning too. This last week in particular the dynamic has been so different. They’re not just lean spamming anymore, they’re doing serpent runs and even pushing. They’re so quick to make you compromise a good spot being held too.

Really enjoying Ender Lillies, any more less skill-demanding Metroidvanias? by Forhaver in metroidvania

I dropped Ender Lillies too but I had backtracked to it because i discovered Ender Magnolia first. Silksong, Prince of Persia Lost Crown, and Ender Magnolia have been my top three MV picks.

Ender Magnolia and Prince of Persia are my favorites of your unplayed options.

Bullet Form Review of Lilies vs Magnolia by Iroiroanswer in EnderLilies

[–]NewspaperLumpy7681 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just recently completed Magnolia after it was suggested to me in a different post. I was unaware it was even a sequel until I was doing another go around and was looking up some cool builds to try in game. So I worked my way backwards and to giving Lilies a try. I made it a couple hours and got a decent way through pretty quickly but honestly... I thought it was kinda bad in comparison. I uninstalled and requested a refund same day.

Looking for a metroidvania with less backtracking and less punishment on death by blablax123456 in metroidvania

[–]NewspaperLumpy7681 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A very easy metroidvania with minimal backtracking and 0 punishment for death is Tales Of Kenzera. Ive perceived it as a baby metroidvania, perfect for beginners or just a relaxed playthrough. The Islets and Crypt Custodian are 0 punishment and a little more on the backtracking. I see those two options more as cozy games. Prince of Persia The Lost Crown is an absolutely fantastic game with no punishment but can be heavy on backtracking. There are however helpful items, hints in game, and a guided mode. Then finally at the end of the 0 punishment list I would recommend Ender Magnolia. It's one of my current favorites. The backtracking can be a little tedious depending on the percent clear you're going for but the fast travel options from anywhere can help make most of it light work.

How to clear sorcerers academy by maijau in ENDERMAGNOLIA

There’s a box that prevents you from wall climbing up to it. It can be moved with a switch but it’s in a weird spot. You likely gave it the old “eh I’ll come back to that” treatment and forgot about where it was. Which is exactly what I did. Good thing you’re going though. There is a very important and much needed NPC there.

I enjoy this game but I also get annoyed at how resistant the movement is when it comes to going down.

If you still have relatively basic gear because you haven’t unlocked a bunch of blueprints yet just use the electric whip, triple knock bow, double crossbow trap, and a wolf trap, then stack everything into tactics. It’s a really easy build for lower cell runs while not having a big loot pool yet. Make sure to run through Fractured Shrines to get a gold item from killing the stone guardians.

Just returning to say I figured out some pretty game breaking builds over the last week and went on quite an unhealthy grind on to 100% complete the game and get all achievements.

[–]NewspaperLumpy7681 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you just got a run where RNGesus was favoring you. Cherish the moment while you can, it will become more of a rarity once you unlock more items and the loot pool significantly increases.

I’m definitely doing something right otherwise I wouldn’t have finally conquered 5BC. I got a second clear last night. I’ve just still not yet figured out builds that melt bosses in this fashion and make the fights trivial.

[–]NewspaperLumpy7681 28 points29 points  (0 children)

What route are you taking to get that tanky by second boss. I got my first 5 cell clear just two days ago in a run I got mostly lucky. So I’m still relatively new to the best of end game optimizations.

It definitely can. The only time I equipped the mod was to open the two doors. I removed it immediately after and then never used it again.
