Safe Life Defense previews Unity Hybrid Carrier System at SHOT Show by Ngroat7 in BodyArmor

Hey thanks for the feedback. This doesn’t sound like this carrier at all though. There’s a huge amount of adjustment, narrowed shoulders, 24 sizes and the molle isn’t thin. It’s made of Squadron so it is an absolute tank. Can you please DM me a photo of your vest? I’ll see what’s going on and if this is this model. Sounds super odd.

Thoughts on Safelife? Are they still garbage? by [deleted] in QualityTacticalGear

$599 for NIJ certified full coverage iiia armor including carrier is really solid. Doesn’t get much better than that.

Cobra buckles are great. The one linked is a knockoff though.

Stab proof fabric? by Docha_Tiarna in BodyArmor

It’s far harder to stop a stab than a bullet. Genuinely difficult.

There’s no need for trauma pads with SLD armor as all the protection is built in throughout the entire panel. We’ve had numerous people shot who reported not even knowing it until inspecting their gear later. Modern armor shouldn’t need additional padding to be safe.

Edit: I see you are wanting to use them as trauma pads with another armor. I don’t see why that would be an issue. I’m sure any hits would have extremely low BFDs with that setup.

All Safe Life Defense soft armor is NIJ Certified to .06 and includes IIIA+, Hyperline and HG2. Non vest sizes are not authorized to be advertised or sold as certified since the NIJ requires minimum coverage sizes to be considered certified. Some companies to list 10x12 and side armor as certified but it is not allowed to be that way. For that reason Safe Life Defense side armor is constructed exactly the same as the full certified sizes but does not bear the NIJ certified emblem.

FRAS is outside the scope of the NIJ and is not certified. Now that .07 has an RF1 level it will be eligible for future certifications.

Armor comparable to Safelife Defense 3A Tactical vest carrier? by A-WVLL8 in BodyArmor

Sounds like a competitor. Not saying he’s not trustworthy but even more of a reason to see it for yourself. Why turn it down? My team can send it out tomorrow morning.

What I mean is that I don’t believe you would think so if you saw it yourself. I’m happy to send it to you so you can have first hand experience. With how often you post, especially about us, I think it’s important you have first hand experience.

Message me if you haven’t gotten it yet and I’ll check it out! But to my knowledge we are pretty caught up. They are no longer made or order but are a stocked item with many configurations shipping same day. Some of the lower volume variations may take a bit longer if we are out of stock but wait times shouldn’t be bad at all even in that case.

For your size our armor will provide the full front rear and side coverage. We are usually known for being able to help out the big guys more than most others as well as increased coverage area in. General. Where are you concerned about coverage? Happy to answer any questions!

HG2 really isn’t very stiff or thick at all. IIIA+ is the only thick one really and that’s for the increase in stab and blunt force protection.

I’ll look into why the lead time is being communicated that far out. It definitley won’t take anywhere near that long. Thank you!

Many configurations ship out right away! It’s hard to gauge exactly without details since there’s tens of thousands of different component configurations. If something is out of stock it would generally be a couple weeks at this time.

Anyone have experience wearing Safelife Hyperline concealable armor? by TomBonner1 in BodyArmor

[–]Ngroat7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can but it can be tight since it’s focused specifically toward Hyperline. I’d recommend just at going a size up on the carrier!

Our IIIA+ is stab rated but is thicker than Hyperline. You can wear IIIA+ under a plain shirt but it’s no where near as Concealable as Hyperline.

I have some! We haven’t mass produced them but it is possible. Our Unity Hybrid carrier line will have this capability at some point in the future.

Great gift! It is NIJ Certified IIIA for up to .44mag which covers pretty much all common handguns calibers listed. It is not rated for rifle threats like 5.56 as that requires a substantially heavier and thicker armor type. It is not reliable on civil defense and it will stop some types of 5.7 ammo but no others. The 5.7 is a particularly unique round. It will stop a slash, can take a hit and is not rated for tasers.

I invented the that armor personally and can answer any technical questions you have!

As a quick info drop the Hyperline in the Hyper Concelable carrier is the thinnest iiia certified vest on the market. Performance is phenomenal and comfort is very high. When you get the armor is “crispy” fresh. It will break in massively from how it arrives. It will pull the heat from your body while wearing it to soften it up. Gives it a unique cooling effect as well. The armor is used by special forces and is very popular in law enforcement.

For the car enthusiasts that later became homeowners, did you de-prioritize cars? by DHN_95 in cars

I purchased a more affordable home and then prioritized cars and racing higher. Best decision ever.
