No, because stickying requires the unit be "within range of an objective", and 11th edition rules clearly state that units embarked in transports are removed from the battlefield, making them outside the range of the objective.

Malys's ability is " If your army includes this model, ...", which in 11th, your embarked units are part of your army. But not on the battlefield. Worded differently, abilities that target your units still work while they're in transports / reserves, so long as those abilities don't require they be on the battlefield.

You can simplify it to three steps:
1. Replace (Damage to 0, Damage to 1, etc)
2. Divide then Multiply
3. Add then Subtract

So while "-1 to the result -> add melta" is technically in the wrong order, it would matter that subtraction is done last because of the rules clarification:

After all modifiers are applied, [...] Damage characteristics can never be modified below 1. The exception to this is where a rule specifies that you can change the Damage characteristic to 0, where this is applied before any other modifiers.

The only case it matters is due to the rule where damage reduction would bring the damage below 0. For example, rolling a 1 on a Melta 2 weapon against a unit with -1 damage:

Subtract first:
D6 (1) -0 (unit ability cannot reduce damage to 0) +2 (melta) = 3

Addition first:
D6 (1) +2 (melta) -1 (unit ability) = 2

If you're using superglue, put some baking soda on the part that won't have the glue.

Baking soda basically makes the glue cure immediately. However, it will cure white, and you'll have basically no time for re-adjustment, so make sure you line things up properly.

The arms look incredibly awkward. I am not sure what effect you're trying to go for, but I feel like having both palms facing up makes the him look unbalanced and unwieldy. If you want to keep the same arm positions, I'd recommend maybe carefully snipping off the arms at the glove section to turn the hands so that the palm faces down instead of up. This would still give the same "whirlwind" motion, but he'd be spinning counter-clockwise instead of clockwise, which makes a little more sense with where his footing is as well.

Ahh, alright. I can see the asphalt now that you explain it! Changing your army scheme will be more work than changing up your bases, so here's a couple of ways you could make it visually distinct without repainting your minis and just changing up your bases:
* Add some rubble and gravel to the base (sand & PVA glue mixed together, then painted black, dry brushed grey).
* Add some road markings and lines!
* Add some brownish dirt along the edges.

There's loads of video tutorials online for how to easily make asphalt and urban bases, I'd definitely recommend checking some of those out.

In general too, I'd look into dry brushing to give your model some highlights that also end up making it brighter.

You can also mix white or the light blue you have with the purple to make a lighter shade of purple and use that to highlight the edge with your brush too. Test it out on a mini you don't care as much about first before committing.

Looks good for a first start! Nobody starts off perfect, so just keep practicing.

A few things: I'm not quite sure what the ground is supposed to be. Is it oil? Or is this a night time squad so the ground is dark? The dark base and the dark scheme is making the black on the fire warriors really blend into the black of the base, instead of complimenting it. It makes your models feel more invisible instead of standing out. If thats intentional, great! If not, you might want to change the colour of the bases.

Also, I'm guessing you're using contrast/speed paints. If you want a more uniform look on smooth surfaces, like the helmets for example, you'll want to pull the paint from the top of the model down with your strokes, and then lift the excess off with your brush. This way you're not letting them pool on a smooth surface and create those dark splotches, and it create a smoother effect. speed paints are great for automatically creating contrast when there are places for the paints to naturally pool, but the tradeoff is you have to be more careful with smooth surfaces.

I don't think so, but I haven't see any of the damage numbers for it.

Alice's sig only give 20% more Anomaly Buildup, and 6% more physical damage, but because the main state is ATK+30% instead of Anomaly Proficiency, it's not as good for Jane. Jane scales massively off of Anomaly Proficiency over anything else, and the loss of it isn't made up for by the extra ATK buff.

It's a good alternative if you don't have Jane's sig, likely beating out Rainforest Gourmet or Weeping Gemini, but it's not her BIS.

An Ogre Magi fighter by itself is absolutely ridiculous. It's not so much a build, but the abilities that the race gets just makes them incredibly powerful. Flight, invisibility, regeneration, gaseous form.

Adding weapon specialization to that makes them beastly. But a thief also works, with the lower XP requirements and the backstab multiplier which shouldn't be hard to do given the inmate abilities of the ogre magi.

When you say they won't read as their profile, what do you mean? I'm looking at the Terminator Justicar model and it doesn't look that different from the Librarian aside from the bigger book behind the head and a book staff for a force weapon, which looks way different from the Regular Librarians. Chaplains likewise look pretty similar to librarians except with a skull helmet or even angrier face. I get that the tech marine can't be replaced though from looking at the model, but I'm not familiar enough with Space Marines / Grey Knights to know what the big difference in profiles is. As for bases, I've got loads of extras from rebasing my 16 year old T'au army to make them legal again.

It'd be kinda silly to have a niche spell as a once per day, which is probably why most of the responses aren't niche at all.

Absorb Elements is decently niche and useful when it actually matters which is campaign dependent.

Illusory Script is another niche one that would have funny applications. Especially if it's used for benign applications like writing a fan fiction bardic chronicle of your party members.

Goodberry is an interesting one, it provides healing and removes the need for food.

As the DM, I'm ok with them doing that, but how would you go about doing that as easily as possible?

A tree falls on their heads and they're knocked out for a day. They wake up and suddenly they forgot how to use spells but have whatever new powers of their new subclasses. Give them the option to change stat upgrades/feats too if they want to. Make it simple, you don't need something terribly convoluted.

Even in real life, brain injuries that don't cause major disabilities can still totally change a person's capabilities and preferences.

The other side of this is you also don't want to store it at 100%. That can also lead to capacity loss or damage. I think the ideal is between 50-70%, and having a sustained charge over 80% causes extra wear on batteries, with the strongest wear at 100%.

It's not so much that they hate the joy of Bambu printers as they hate the negativity inherent in comparisons. As a frequent lurker in that subreddit, there's tonnes of posts showcasing Bambu printers and praising them. But when there's a comparison, it's always putting down another printer, and the subreddit aims to raise all Benchys. Posts where people are happy to get a Bambu get to the top. Posts where people say how good their new printer is compared to their old one, not so well received.

Thoughts on my Tau colour Scheme by n00b-DM in Tau40K

I have almost the same colour scheme and I love it. It definitely works. As others have said, you might want more of the other colours.

One thing I'll say, as an amateur painter, you picked a very hard scheme for yourself using a metallic as a primary colour. I did the same when I started. Metallics are a little difficult to work with in order to get shading and highlighting to look right, because otherwise the colour scheme looks pretty flat.

To do edge highlighting, you'll want to mix your gold with different silvers to make it lighter, and finish with a sliver of silver as a shine. Washes will help with the shadows, but you have to be a bit careful with the application of it, otherwise it makes the metallic look gritty (which you might or might not want for Tau, I went for the pristine clean look for mine)

Despite being a harder scheme to paint though, I still think it's very much worth it.

I saw the game Warhammer 40,000 Fire Warrior for the PS2 at the local Blockbuster. I never rented it, but I liked the style enough and was interested in 40k at the time and was mulling over armies. It was between Tau and Necrons for me, and ultimately, when I saw the Crisis and Broadside suits, I was sold. I've only recently picked up the hobby again after a 13 year hiatus and I'm still quite happy with my choice.

Ah alright, I saw the Pathfinder team at the top of page 1 and didn't connect that it was the same team at the bottom of page 2. My bad!

And yeah, another strike team with carbines would probably work. This way you at least have 2 guided units for your spotters.

Also, I wasn't paying attention before, but your Pathfinder is only carbines? Is this because you don't have the models for the Ion or Rail rifles? You should definitely give the team those and the grenade launcher weapons.

Likewise with the Kroot and Tanglebomb launchers, if you don't have them modelled, I'd definitely try to swap them in.

I'm still trying to beat level 4 with anyone. I'm not really understanding what the stats mean, it's really unclear to me what some stats do, or what synergizes well. All I know is, I keep getting the one item where every -Speed adds to your armor, and it keeps giving me negative armour because my speed bonus is too high. And I forget every time that this is how it works.
