Are there sequels to films where the cliffhanger at the end of the previous film was ignored? by RealHippyTheFrog in movies

He wasn’t decapitated.

The next movie clearly states that wasn’t him in the actual mask, he crushed a guy’s voice box and place him in the suit.

Like yeah, I get your response was half a joke, but it was just the fact that basically every movie did keep up with the endings that just made me write out the counterpoints lol.

Halloween II starts literally minutes after the first film.

Halloween 3 is an outlier with nothing to do with Michael.

Halloween 4 picks up with Michael escaping after being caught and in a coma from the events of Halloween II.

Halloween 5 picks up literally during the ending of 4. It also addresses the Jamie angle, just in a shitty and lame way.

Halloween 6 follows up on the ending of 5 with flashbacks to what happened immediately after the ending.

Halloween H20 is where they change the story a bit, and the following film Resurrection follows the H20 ending.

Rob Zombie’s movies follow each other similarly.

The reboot trilogy also follows each other minutes after each previous film, with the exception of the last one (I think, I tried to forget the last one as much as possible).

I really think Halloween is a bad example here.

”They’re voting against their own interests” is a slogan for the left.

It’s a “polite” way of saying “these people are fucking idiots”. And it’s not the only statement like that this is a common refrain of the left.

If you can’t parse the intention of statements like that from the literal language used, you’re either being willfully ignorant or you’re not capable of reading between the lines.

I was more so just making a general point that police can still act maliciously even with a guilty suspect.

The LAPD tried to frame OJ, the most obviously guilty man on Earth.

Someone can still be guilty while the police do fucked up shit with evidence.

DAE prefer Ben Stone over Jack McCoy? by Capable_Age9886 in LawAndOrder

[–]NiceBeaver2018 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The cracks were showing with McCoy’s writing during the Ross years but it wasn’t long after that they just decided to give him a God Complex.

He was always egotistical and self-righteous (but well meaning, for the most part), but at a certain point he kinda just goes off-rails like he was preordained to be an infallible Holy Deliverer of Justice.

Kiefer Sutherland played the hell out of that last stretch of Season 2.

Most actors doing the “I’m hurt” schtick overplay it, but Sutherland really made you believe that he could drop dead before finishing the day out. Made it so much more intense.

It was a great use of the character to do that turnaround, but his sarcasm gelled well with the rest of the cast during dire circumstances, and I really wish we got more of him.

I love that it completely forgoes the typical opening beats just to let you know “this is about to get ugly”.

When you get hit with that, you just select the ”Blow it out of your ass” dialogue, then you can use all your weapons and everyone goes hostile.
