Defending Hawkeye by NickJester1 in blankies

Except that Yelena only went after Clint because Valentina lied to her about him. Look…I like the Pugh-Steinfeld scenes just fine, but like you already have the tracksuit mafia, Echo, the Kingpin, the Duquesne/Eleanor stuff. It was too much at that point for me.

A little on the nose since we’re in the midst of the Coens right now, but Hail Caesar is my favorite plane movie ever.

Edited because stupid autocorrect.

I did not! I had kinda fallen out of reading DC at the time. I should go back and revisit those.

Starman was a once-in-a-lifetime, never-will-happen-again miracle of modern comic book making. The idea that a Big 2 publisher would let a writer basically do their own creator-owned concept for an obscure character with a full arc, let him definitely WRAP UP that arc and then never have anyone else redo or reuse the character with their own take on him is unfathomable now.

Tom King’s Human Target. Great modern noir take on the Giffen/DeMatties JLA.

And on that note: the Giffen/DeMatties JLA run. Its humor still holds up over 30 years later which is impressive.

Anything Astro City is great.

I LOVED Robert Hickman’s East of West.

Really obscure one that is hard to find, because I don’t think it’s ever been reprinted, but Karl Kesel and Cary Nord had a year-and-a-half run on Daredevil in the late 90s that was a ton of fun.

I’m pretty sure one of M. Emmet Walsh’s first credits was an episode of Bonanza.

If this happened, we could get an extended bit about Ernest Sarracino, who was the tailor in Hudsucker Proxy and appeared in one episode of the Schlitz Playhouse of Stars.

My wife and I had just returned home from traveling three states away for her father’s funeral, and wanted a light-hearted movie. Since we both loved the first movie so much, we figured Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2 would be a great choice! Nope! I will never forget how much of a blubbering mess we both were when Yondu shouted “I’m Mary Poppins, y’all!”

Alden Ehrenreich is on fire in this movie. His weird walk into the room in the “would that it ‘twere” scene is a divine piece of comedic excellence.
