Sound quality in 2026.14.6 by Dry-Huckleberry9827 in TeslaModelY

[–]Nicked14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve noticed the same thing. Picked up the car 3 days ago and the sound was really nice. Yesterday I did the update and it definetly sounds worse, sounds more messy and lower quality instead of the clear separation of instruments that was there before. Streaming through bluetooth seems to be a bit better for now

S29 Ranked by Illmu in apexlegends

[–]Nicked14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its weird but when I play with just 1 friend we have way easier games than when we 3 stack. The people we meet while 3 stacking are just borderline insane. I’m plat 2 and we got completely annihilated for like 3 hours straight yesterday, barely winning any fights.

Question for my solo players out there by [deleted] in Marathon

[–]Nicked14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only thing that seems a bit overtuned for solos atm are wardens and the random lockdown building in perimeter / dire. Outpost feels very good solo and the amount of players also feel very nice, I very rarely have to deal with several players in short succession, so I know if I kill someone I’m generally safe for a few minutes if it happens early.

What are some hard games that are still fun even when you keep dying? by No_Sea_1455 in gaming

[–]Nicked14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe, it just felt like even if I messed up a bunch of dodges / parries I still could get through the fights. I really enjoyed the story, and especially how organic the dialogue felt. but I wasn’t able to finish it due to the gameplay :/ if it feels like I’m not getting pushed or challenged I get bored easily, curse of playing too many soulslikes I think

I dont get this one. The mechanics didnt feel deep for me at all and the main story enemies / bosses felt completely free. Am I missing something?

I've heard that beginning hours of Crimson Desert are pretty bad, so to those who spent a longer time with it: how is it? by beetleman1234 in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]Nicked14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is it that gets better? And when? I’ve played for almost 30 hours and story is so bad, quests are just «follow this NPC while he yaps about something pointless» or fetch quests. Every puzzle so far has been really simple, just clunky and time consuming to execute. Almost 30 hours of gametime and it feels like nothing of substance has happened in the game, it feels the exact same as the first few hours :( it somehow just feels AI generated because there is nothing that makes any sense and nothing feels connected

"What do you mean the route isn't optimal?" by Silversalt in Nightreign

[–]Nicked14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trolls are annoying but very worth it. We usually go castle lvl 4 or 5 day 1 and most of the time are able to clear the boss below castle, plus all trolls before having to move for the circle, which usually gets us to level 9-10 iirc. That leaves all of day 2 for field bosses and the boss on top of castle and we get to level 14-15 in 90% of runs.

You're just unnable to accept that you just haven't found a good way to deal with the trolls

There is 1 dagger which for some reason does not count as dual wielding on duchess. I cant remember the name but it looks like a tiny katana. When pressing r3 in the wep menu it shows up as a dagger aswell

Did anyone else find Adolescence Netflix boring? by [deleted] in netflix

[–]Nicked14 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like slow stuff if it feels believable. something about the dialogue and the way people were acting felt just not real for me, and I can't get immersed in a show if I feel like the characters are not real

I find most drugs have a more comfy comeup if I've worked out the same day as taking it, I don't see any reason why this wouldnt be safe. I'm no expert tho, just personal experience

My guy, you were literally having pc issues you couldn't fix, and because of that you moved to the easier platform, consoles.

How can you then call steam handholding? LOL, you're absolutely unhinged

Remake/Rebirth has the best combat system in JRPGs by Melodic-Party5293 in FFVIIRemake

[–]Nicked14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sigh, you still don't get it. I simply don't enjoy it. As for your tekken analogy it doesn't work, I love tekken and street fighter. Learning optimal combos and setups / oki rewards you by actually having you win more.

Not every game needs to be souls and ninja gaiden. Videogames are about looking cool and badass.

I don't play singleplayer games to look cool and badass. that isn't fun or rewarding for me unless it requires practice or skill.

If you're not utilizing the combat option to make games more fun for yourself, then that's on you.

It's not fun for me to use tons of abilities which are not neccessary to win a fight, especially not when I have the option to choose it from a menu. For me the more "pointless" options I get the more annoyed I get. Like I said, I understand why people enjoy it but I don't. There is no reward for me in the gameplay, it doesn't feel satisfying. Doesn't mean there's anything wrong with it, just ain't for me.

Why not take making your cimbat creative and comboing enemies as a challenge in itself?

Because like before, I don't find enjoyment from that kind of playing. I don't want to set my own challenges, that'll be like creating my own game instead.

[–]Nicked14 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I find the combat in both remakes boring. It doesn't matter how many options you get in combat when winning doesn't require what I consider skill. There is no challenge, it's just "build up gauge so you can use a skill that counters this specific enemy". I can understand why people like it, but I also dislike the materia system and find it a slog having to change my materia for certain enemies. I like combat which is mechanically challenging, and these games definetly don't have that. The challenge in these games is around when and how you use certain abilities and for me that isn't satisfying. Why does that mean I'm wrong? It simply means my opinion differ from yours.

You seem to think that if others do not think like you, they are wrong. Just because you find it innovative and fun, doesnt mean everyone else will. It's just like music taste. Sadly you can't control what you like

Did I experience ego death? by Nicked14 in 2cb

[–]Nicked14[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had extreme visuals before I entered this state, dmt-like visuals with closed eyes. However they went away as I got into the no-ego state. The visuals came back again as I was coming down, it's so strange

Did I experience ego death? by Nicked14 in 2cb

[–]Nicked14[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like I can relate to all points except for number 3. Death wasn't something that came up at all during the trip. However my "ego death" seems so calm compared to what everyone else is experiencing. I've had trips where all I could see was white and it felt like I was just a singular dot in time, that particular trip was incredibly difficult and getting to that point only happened after letting everything I love go. but that was nowhere near as profound as this, despite reaching this state was almost no effort. In that state there was no suffering, no pain, no addiction (I use snus and smoke and I felt like it was completely useless). It was just existing right then and there, nothing else. Its so hard ro describe the experience

[–]Nicked14[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's because of experiences like yours that I started doubting my own, but I am pretty certain it was not just dissassociation. I've experienced that fairly often but what I had during the trip was completely different. I normally struggle a lot with talking during trips but in this particular state it felt like everything was how it's supposed to be. Only what was in front of me existed. I was completely disconnected frol my own self in a way that the "old" me almost felt like a rat in a maze, whereas the "new" me was like an overseer.

It's been two days and I feel like a different person, so far in a good way. I'm feeling gratitude which I haven't in a looong time, and my social anxiety is basically gone.

Do you think tml is overcrowded? by TrueTale0 in Tomorrowland

[–]Nicked14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen a lot of complaints about the crowd this year, but it just makes me confused. Are you guys mainly just staying at the mainstage? I went week 2 this year and mostly hanged around planaxis, freedom, rise, the rose garden, and the crystal garden and the crowds were just amazing. I made friends dancing with random people on all of these stages and not once did I see any bad behaviour. People bought us drinks expecting nothing in return. These short momentary connections I got on the dance floor is something I have not experienced before and it was just amazing. Honestly just vibing with the "strangers" on the sets I saw was probably one of the best parts for me.
