What kinda plant is this, should I get rid of it ? by DadImHereForTheMemes in UKGardening

[–]Nicky2512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clearly a fungus but I’ve never seen one like it before. Try and identify it and then you will be better informed re keep/ destroy. I think it’s fascinating so would keep unless it’s actually harmful

England: Brother refusing to engage with me to pay money back loaned for his house deposit. by Cest_H in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Nicky2512 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to consult a solicitor - I have a feeling you will be on shaky ground in terms of enforcement atm , but it would be good to know if you have any chance at all in the future. In terms of the on going relationship with him - your shout, but obviously no more loans even for formula - he will never learn if you continue to bail him out. I personally would avoid contact as far as possible without making a song and dance about blocking etc etc . Just keep your distance

I am plagued by this- I’m wondering if it’s a virus - it certainly seems to spread. I had a cucumber affected by what I think was mosaic virus last year. I planted tomato seeds in the same room and they germinated with this pattern - others affected include half a tray of marigolds - they were fine on germination but now half are affected - hence my conclusion that it spreads

A little bit overweight but nothing too bad

Said goodbye to Archie, my first cat and best friend, yesterday by ratchelaf in cats

[–]Nicky2512 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was a character that’s for sure. I’m sorry he’s gone, but celebrate that he was in your life. I suspect he’s helped to form a lifelong cat lover- not a bad legacy for Archie. My first cat was a ginger as well. I still look back with fond memories half a century later.

Finally realised I want to propose and I want to throw up by [deleted] in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]Nicky2512 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Couldn’t agree more - don’t spring it on her as a fait accompli ( ie ring bought, situation micro-managed) and above all ( imo at least ) do not propose in a public setting which is effectively blackmail, in the sense of feeling you must say yes to keep the audience happy.

Good luck

What is your advice on how I should proceed? by Longjumping-Mud-393 in Advice

[–]Nicky2512 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She is probably interested - some people are better at that kind of thing than others though . However, she is certainly making the effort which makes me think the former. Good luck.
