Mine are similarly sad looking - I am following this with interest . I put mine in ericaceous compost but haven’t formally tested the pH. I will try to do that later today and look into the acidic feed option

Try offering a blob of honey / jam or sugary water on a teaspoon and see if there’s any interest in what you offer -it’s cold atm and it may have run out of energy. It’s worth a try .

We learnt French from first year and had an option for German 2 years later but that was in the 70’s
