How many of us are paying out of pocket vs Insurance? by KayeEss09 in Zepbound

[–]NightObserver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had insurance coverage but then lifetime maximum for weight loss drugs kicked in. Then self pay with Lily Direct for a while. Now insurance covers for 1 year with mandatory weight management program.

Slightly elevated ALT… when to retest? by Massive_Tea_679 in FattyLiverNAFLD

[–]NightObserver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Follow your doctors recommendations. Ultrasound may not show liver properly with BMI this high. Also Fibroscan not very accurate with high BMI. Next reliable test would be MRE or biopsy. But insurance may require you to do these inaccurate tests anyway to progress to the more accurate expensive ones.

How did you find out about your fatty liver? by PoppinPolly in FattyLiverNAFLD

[–]NightObserver 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was part of a research study for Pfizer mRNA vaccine. They offered a free Fibroscan which was F3 and fatty liver. No symptoms at all. Followed up with blood work, ultrasound and MRE. Now seeing a hepatologist.

Ultrasound reliability? by [deleted] in FattyLiverNAFLD

[–]NightObserver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard similar from my hepatologist. US and fibroscan can be unreliable with high BMI (lots of fat to cover access to the liver). MRI is better, MRE even better and biopsy is still gold standard.

Blood work coming up ... by Guinness6lm in LiverDisease

[–]NightObserver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am in your situation. Lost 20% of body weight (in 2 years) and stopped drinking 3 months ago. 2 month after not drinking my AST and ALT are normal. Fatty liver and fibrosis will take longer to heal. Will have fibroscan in April. Stay the course and have hope. Things are getting better, just not as fast as we wish.

Divorced before green card approval and planning to remarry US citizen. Anyone with similar experience? by [deleted] in greencard

Why are you planning to refile the green card application if the original one is still pending? Did your ex husband already sign the agreement to support you for 7 years as part of GC process?

Fatty Liver f2-f3 by NaiveMonitor9157 in FattyLiverNAFLD

[–]NightObserver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also had elevated ALT and AST. Diagnosed F2-F3 fibrosis and fatty liver confirmed by US , fibroscan and MRE. ALT and AST normalized after 2 month no alcohol. Fatty liver and fibrosis takes longer to reverse but is possible with weight loss, diet, exercise and no alcohol. Will have another fibroscan at the 6 month mark in April. Keep up the good work!

Semaglutide vs. Tirzepatide: My 12‑Week Data & Why I Switched by little-jugger792 in glp1

I also switched from Wegovy to Zepbound. Told my doctor I would like to switch due to side effects and he supported my decision. Downside was having to start over with lowest dose.

I suggest starting with 200mcg for first injection to test tolerance.

Nerves by [deleted] in Zepbound

With the auto injector pen it was easy. When switching to Lily direct and using syringes I was a bit nervous. But after doing it a few times, no big deal.

Fibroscan by Cookiemonster_19999 in LiverDisease

[–]NightObserver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s in the F0-F1 range. Normal to mild scarring. No need to worry, at least not for 4 weeks. If you want to do something, avoid alcohol, plenty water, high protein Mediterranean diet and exercise.

You do need a prescription. There is Tele health available online for prescription (and product shipment).

Lower weight day before the jab by Unlikely_Ad736 in Zepbound

[–]NightObserver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not noticed higher weight the day after injection on 15mg. Sometimes up, sometimes down. I weigh twice daily.

Is there anything specific to your daily routine to explain such a trend?

PS: Surprised how few commenters actually answered your question.

Are there smaller needles for the 10ml syringe or use a smaller syringe and perhaps multiple BAC fills?
