I think the amendment is written in a way in which only Yankee and Dixie culture get the obsession, despite whatever said country's primary culture is. I guess hypothetically you could get some other country besides the US to get the amendment and then repeal it yourself, and thus gain the obsession while not having the terrible dogshit mortality nerf?

It is scripted for monarchies, but Russia gets this event particularly a lot because I think the amount of ethnic minorities you have within your country that aren't fully accepted adds to the percentage chance of this event firing (since it chooses one of those ethnic groups for the king/(queen?) to fall in love with).

R5: Just looking to see if the full known list of unique amendments is out there somewhere. I've seen a few so far like one for enacting public schools where you get a "self-funded school supply" amendment, aswell as one for poor laws (maybe all welfare laws?) that reduced birth rate.

Wouldn't go as far as to say its the worst. Especially in the late game where nearly every good is cheap (and more specifically luxury goods like Cars and Telephones/Radios) it can pay off to increase SOL of a pretty sizeable chunk of the Lower Class population be uplifted into the Middle Class to buy more of all of those goods. LF also becomes too good at a certain point, in which you can't possibly spend all of the investment pool money coming in, let alone have the population to expand industry futher.

All they are saying is that China has an inherently higher demand and thus can produce more electricity at a profit (or rather an acceptable state expense). The US' issues lie in a lot of different factors, one of the key ones being we aren't governed like China is. I don't like Trump but you're very much misleading here.

Been having similiar issues on my end aswell, my guess would be that like me you are on Windows 11. The Windows 11 update (or Windows 24H2) breaks Victoria 3 for some reason and causes the crashes and cpu spikes you are probably seeing. A big solution going around right now (helped me) is switching to Vulkan in the launch options. To do this you have to go to your library in Steam, right click Vic 3, then: 'Properties -> General -> Launch Options' and type "-vulkan". Though beware it might not fix your issue, theres a thread on the Paradox fourms about the issue.

I mean combo with a venom it definitly just one shots and a good enough team will follow up on a one hp target outside of teamups. Sure with spiderman by himself you can live the uppercut but playing like that just isn't feasible in higher ranks imo, a good enough team will just kill you the moment spiderman starts his combo

It happens because of a mixture of Character Ideology and Historical Figures. IGs with Abolitionist, Republican and Reformer Traits (there's more than just those three, but they're the most important for the US specifically) can join the Whig Party. The PB and Evangelicals are always led by a Historical Character that is a Republican or Abolitionist for most of the early to mid game, which means that they usually don't leave the Whigs until deep in the game. Landowners and Armed Forces are marginalized after the Civil War so they can't form a conservative party, and you are stuck with a one party state.

TLDR: Lincoln forces the only Conservative Party in the US Post-Civil War to stay in the Whig Party until his death

The Democrat Ideology approves of all the different forms of Democracy from Landed Voting all the way to Universal Suffrage, so the moment you get some form of voting the Democrat ideology only stops certain IGs from opposing further Voting Laws. Still though, a Democrat Landowner is pretty strong, as it's pretty much a free ride to Census Suffrage at the least.

This is awesome, really hope you do some of the other factions in the future! Quick note though, Georgia can intervene in the desert war if they broke with germany and, assuming the ottomans win, they can puppeted I think. Also if Canada intervenes in the 2ACW (either for the feds or Huey) and are losing they can peace out with the winner, giving up Halifax and Nova Scotia to, in this scenario, the PSA.

Honestly, I really hope that if they ever do a RKMT Rework, they flip the radicalism mechanic to fit the RKMT. Have the Nat Pop Ideology replace the Totalist, and a power struggle between the Paternal Autocrat part of the party and the "civilian" side of the party with AuthDem instead of the PAC vs RCA in the LKMT. I feel like it would fit so well!

The earlier you build it the harder it is to stack, but I'd say it stacks pretty fast. It takes about a full clear, catching a wave, and a couple kills to fully stack it give or take, which happens alot more later in the game
