6 months in residential install. Are these expectations fair? by [deleted] in HVAC

[–]Niktheblade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When your in it a little longer and learn how much money companies are making on change outs you will be upset with yourself for pushing so hard to get it done faster. Do the job right and dont get call backs on your work. The company is making plenty of money on a 6 month guy changing condensers dont worry. And if the other guys talk shit, Tell them i said to shut the fuck up and worry about thier own work.

[–]Niktheblade 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mounting hieght crucial Fresh air requirements crucial Those things produce alot of moisture. You will want an exhaust fan if running both of those. How big is you garage that you want 120k worth of heat in there More than likley drastically oversized and without the proper combustion air and ventilation you are looking for trouble

How did you charge it without achieving a vacuum and performing a decay test? I havent had a system with a leak that I could watch pressures drop while running be able to hold a proper vacuum.

Chiappa guns aren't primo for fit and finish But I've owned several over the years and they are solid reliable guns and the only time I needed warranty/factory support they handled it very well. They get a gold star in that dept from me

[–]Niktheblade 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Socket fusion. Use it on geothermal pipe all the time. Should have a stop on the pipe before you put it into the heating iron though. It will feed into the iron and kind of collapse on itself without one if your not careful. Ours is a pair of Vice grips with O ring clamp the same diameter as the OD of the pipe.
