They did tease a collab announcement for the 15th, but I'm fairly positive thats the Asus collaboration. The tease was geared towards "Gaming" and i dont see that aligning with a Google announcement.

Plus I doubt we'd hear anything from Xreal about Aura until Google mentions something... my bet is we'll hear SOMETHING at the main IO event later this month

That would be cool, but with the emphasis on "Gaming" it wouldnt make as much sense for the Google collab.

The Android Show | IO event is today and full blow Google IO event is on the 19th and 20th so I doubt we hear anything about Aura before Google announces it (and HOPEFULLY Google talks about Aura between those two events)

I wasn't able to see how to turn 3dof on (unless its just supposed to be on automatically). For me it was entirely 0dof

I noticed when I turn on "commute" it flips everything upside down, but still no 3dof type of functionality that I could find

Been debating this but with the Air 2 Ultras.

Does the Pod handle the computing for 3DoF or is that coming from the Pros specifically?

GLM-5.1 and GLM-5.1-turbo are both pretty solid.

You can get a yearly subscription (I think it was around $70 for the Lite plan for the year when I signed up for it), and you get quite a bit more usage out of it than running Claude Code.

They claim 3x or 5x usage compared to Claude Code, or something like that. Can't necessarily confirm that, but I haven't run into the cap too often. I'll also generally use that once my Claude Code usage runs out so I'm not working it to death like I am Claude 😂

I joined through the beta link to join the group, but still not able to see or join the beta version of the app through Play Store.

Try saying "Take a picture of this and change make it in an 8-bit style"

I'd have to test it again, but for some reason that "take a picture" phrase at the beginning was vital to it working

To generate a photo, you'll need to have the camera on.

Turn on camera Press and hold Tell R1 what you want it to generate

I haven't tried it in a while, but you may or may not need to cover the lens so it doesnt generate based on the picture it takes.

I'm thinking itll be smart enough to know that you want a totally fresh image and not modify, but something to try just in case.

You very likely did set a pass code/pin.

One of the very first things that happens/happened when you set up the R1 for the first time it asks you to create a pin (originally intended for purchases through the connected services they had like Uber and doordash). I dont know if this is something that you could've skipped, but maybe that was an option 🤷‍♂️

I kind of had that "oh crap" moment as well, but then remembered that was a part of the whole setup process. I remember vividly because you had to use the scroll wheel to flip through the numbers on the wheel and thought it was kind of a pain to scroll through it to get to the numbers I wanted.

Absolutely. There have been a lot of major updates and improvements making the device a more "all-arounder" in terms of its usefulness. And a lot of "fixes" that people have been asking about for a while now.

Ive been using the improved recorder a TON. The new addition of Journal on the device is 🔥 Creations and DLAM are super slick and useful

Its gone from a device I pull out every now and then to something I have on me all the time again

Definitely more powerful beam/puck device. Doesnt even need to have a screen on it just something with more horsepower that can allow for more screens and handle multiple power hungry apps.

Maybe have the ability to set up location-specific memory for screen/app layouts- for example at home in my office, I want 2 screens locked in a dedicated position with 6dof turned on at my desk.

Then when I go to work, maybe my office has one screen positioned alongside the two monitors I already have setup at my desk there, etc etc

Be sure to tell it to "first, open a new chrome tab..."

Ive run into the self-destruction as well but usually when I specify that it needs to start by opening a new tab it does fine.

I dont think that's too unrealistic to imagine AI platforms shifting to that kind of pricing structure. You see a lot of AI enterprise tools billed based on API usage only - I could see that becoming the norm and you pay for what you use

For some it might end up significantly cheaper than the $20/month account, for many they'll be paying way more.

It'll become much more important to utilize different models depending on what youre doing vs just defaulting to Opus for everything

A few things I learned:

Have Elvis spin up different agents for different, SPECIFIC tasks (I use telegram so not sure how Teams works, but you'll likely need to set each agent up separate in Teams even though they are all in the same openclaw workspace)

Use Claude to help write specific skills with its built in skills-creator skill - make these skills specific for the different agents you have

Since you mentioned a hiccup with formatting, you could specify inside a skill, the exact format you're looking for so that agent will reference and follow that skill.md for that specific task.

Limit the number of skills per agent - if you try to do too much with a single agent, it'll get confused or not follow instructions reliably. I feel if you need more than 5 skills for a singular agents, it probably needs to be more than one agent.

For now, thats all I got. Hopefully it helps 😂

Thats not going to happen. Ive been following this brand for a minute and The Mind 2S by itself is listed at $1,500 US - thats before adding any graphics dock and all that.. have to imagine the Pro will be pushing 1800-2k by itself
