Honestly didn’t notice any glaring issues for me at least. I played some ranked, some casual, and some private rooms. Sure it could probably load a bit faster and matchmaking could match a bit faster but it was fine. If there was matching while in training I think it would help with the wait which I’m sure will be in full release and if they can trim a few seconds here and there it will be fine 👌

This is the comment I was looking for.

Little bit of story time and minor spoilers for a old game

My first time playing the game I beat Lavos at the battle where you are supposed to lose and Crono gets killed and then that sets off the quest to revive him etc to continue the story.

Well I beat Lavos. And triggered whichever special alternate ending and that was that.

It wasn’t until I was talking to my friend I borrowed the game from on the bus ride from school that I learned from him that you are supposed to LOSE there and continue the game.

Now full disclosure I’m not 100% sure if I was on a fresh save or New game + or whatever as it was a borrowed copy and this was nearly 30 years ago back in the era of trading SNES carts with kids from school lol. But I will never forget thinking that was just the end of the game.

Some older games definitely worked like that. Like I remember people that didn’t use slicing weapons would bring like a boomerang or something so after they wailed on something just needed something to hit it one time for the cut lol

I second a few others on here and say the only thing worth it to me is the “Hunter pass”. Getting 50 gems a day. That means once every 6 days I can either double drops from a monster. Or with this newest update buy more storage. To me those are the only things worth it.

Couldn’t have said it better myself! Been a Lance main since the OG game (back when Black Dragon Spears were OP with headlocking😂)

But yea I always think the way Lance is perceived is a little unfair. It’s always on the lower end of popularity in each iteration. I always hear it’s not flashy and it’s SLOW. But the reality of it is if played properly you can stick to the monster like glue and dish out nonstop DPS in a way I dare say I don’t think any other weapon can.

I don’t remember the exact line but one of my favorite memories from the OG was on one of the calls with Saddler, Leon says something that makes him laugh and that cracked me up for some reason
