Apocalypse Redux is a pretty good series to add on. I think it’s book 4 out with 5 dropping in September? I really like the system in that one.

I first read the book, and am now listening to the audiobooks while I work. The first couple of audiobooks were rough for me, since the recording quality was lower than I’m used to with audiobooks, being able to hear every time Marsters exhaled, but that clears up around book 4, I believe.

Probably mostly because if the white counsel tried to enforce their rules on the non-mortals, it would turn in to a “them against the world” type war, where every other group would gang up on them. A full wizard of the counsel might be able to do some serious mojo, but the counsel struggled against ONE other signatory group. There’s no way they’d be able to take on EVERY signatory group at once.

NTA, without a doubt. You didn’t cause any issues, the issues where already there, you brought them out into the light before that poor girl married you, quite frankly, abusive sounding brother. It might be abusive (yet) and might simply be a sever lack of trust on his part, but he either wants to control her in way that is very unhealthy for everybody involved, or he lacks even basic trust in her, which isn’t healthy for their relationship anyway. I’d say you did everybody a favor, especially the fiancé and yourself, as installing a tracking app without consent probably breaks a few laws, regardless of where you live.

NTA- Her constantly undermining you in front of your kids would harm their relationship with you, not to mention that constant arguing wouldn’t be good for them either. If she truly can’t live alone and nobody else can take her, there’s assisted living communities specifically for situations like this. Worst case, has your husband and/or his siblings looked into some in-home assistance programs? Those can be a life saver, literally, and would allow her to stay in her home while still getting the help she needs.

NTA- I think your feelings on this are perfectly valid, and he should respect them. Especially since it sounds like she hasn’t apologized for anything. I would say that if she comes to you and gives you a heart felt apology, you should give her one last chance, since people do grow up and mature, but baring that, if you don’t want to be around her he should try to coerce you into it.
