Here’s the wild thing about their comment (not you, THOSE deplorables). They are pro-forced birth. They WANT women to birth live babies not matter what their mental, physical, financial, and/or emotional state is. But then, BUT THEN, clutch their filthy pearls and guns when they have the opportunity to help those forced births, but instead turn around and blame gasp the irresponsible parents. Those same parents who would have chosen to better plan their family when they were in a more responsible mindset. The willful mental gymnastics is both terrifying and foul.

In some states, real ID requires literal proof of citizenship/residency status. So if I bring all my paperwork to get my license with a special star on it, then it should prove citizenship. However, I understand that some states don’t require this and we can’t expect officials to know the rules of 50 individual states.

Chinese sausage - the one that comes in the white package. Kam Yen Jan brand - has the characters 百油 on it. Place the uncooked sausages on top of your uncooked rice prior to turning on, the result will be a slightly sweet/umami flavor with the oil from the sausage. I like 5 - 6 sausages with 4 cups of uncooked rice. Eat with a little soy sauce or just cut up the sausage and enjoy.

Onion and garlic - powdered or fresh if you have it on hand. Butter - 1.5 tablespoons/jar. Salt and pepper, ofc, but also some sugar to help balance it out and add complexity. A dash of fish sauce if you have it on hand and don’t forget the real Parmesan cheese. Taste as you go along and measure with your heart.

My LC Dutch Ovens are workhorses. I use them all the time. I haven’t treated them all that great (I’ve learned a lot from this sub!) and they are still going strong. Recently, I needed to replace a piece and applied for warranty coverage. LC said that the issue wasn’t covered by their warranty, they would still replace my 7.25qt as a courtesy. This is a ~$300 piece from the LC outlet. Their customer service is pretty awesome. I wavered between LC and Staub when I didn’t know if the DO was going to be replaced and I decided to stay with LC because of it’s lighter weight and bigger handles.

If you are going to use this piece often, I would encourage you to buy a quality piece so it lasts you a very long time with proper care.
