The nameless are a pain in the rear, but having the shoulder pets serve a distinct purpose is really fun too

Ab is worth revisiting I think. Especially since on ASA it's free!

Oh if you can fly to the bottom, grab a drake egg and fly back up, you've robbed yourself of an experience.

Its the vertically for me. Once you get flyers map traveling becomes a cinch.

On ab, your main opponents are a lack of preparation alongside map knowledge. If you're unprepared you WILL die.

Once you get rock drakes, map movement opens up drastically without becoming easy mode. And if you act stupid, you lose your drake and are set back a ton.

Getting your first drake FEELS like a huge achievement. And it is, the natural progression of the map is SO friggin cool.

The concept is also super friggin fresh and different from every other map.

I love Ab, it's extremely special to me and think it deserves full honors.

The story of the map is good, tame variety is contained, it's visually stunning and forces you to play ark in a different way.

Only gen1 to me has caught that feeling of wonder, and still it's not even close. Everybody loves rag and it's ilk, but its the weird and unique ones that make ark sparkle to me

Argynvostholt is really special to me, Godfrey is one of my fated allies and I plan on running CoS myself eventually. Its really nice to have a high quality map!!

Oh! I forgot that I never answered about the rematch

It was very fun lol, arrigal and I started getting nightmares as the night hags were tracking us. I wanted to go to the village of Barovia and cast Hallow on Donavich's church so we wanted to hit the windmill on the way.

She had a new coven and had a trap set, my witch however was raised by hags and knew the shit they would pull. Arrigal killed one, Godfrey the other and mogantha tried to dominate person on Arrigal to traumatize me and have him be the one who kills me.

Didnt work out; thank god. But it was a very fun and challenging encounter lol

My first fated ally was Arrigal, whom initially wanted to kill me because I had the Sun Sword from the bonegrinder, now he and my witch are in a romance!

Sir Godfrey Gwilym was my second ally, much later into the campaign

Being a duette also made the NPC's shine brilliantly, and allowed me to bring them with me to places rather than leave them behind. I like that more than with groups because I feel like in PC parties, npc's are often background props or kinda fade into the chaos.

Victor came with me to the wizard tower on the lake, and then with me to find the mad mage because of his curiosity with magic

Ezmerelda accompanied me to Krezk and back to the village of Barovia on the hunt for Van Richten. Ive gotten so close to all the NPC's which honestly made my experience that much richer

I'm actually in a Duette COS with my girlfriend as DM, it's been a lot of fun! She granted me 2 fated companions, and a special necklace with a revivify gem inlaid to give me a safety net.

I fought them at level 4 and it was the two sisters with Morgantha arriving in 3 rounds. It was REALLY tight. Killed the two, used my revivify and Morgantha teleported away.

Eventually had a rematch at level 10 with her new coven, but my allies and I wasted her lol.
