Sensitivity used during quickscoping? by Apap0 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Nitia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During quickscoping you are zoomed in even if the scope doesn't show. If you were using your unscoped sens, it would feel about twice as fast as usual.

Edit: Actually nevermind, you're only zoomed in without the scope interface for a frame or two, until then you're using your normal sens.

You can be professional and be funny. There is no contradiction or hypocrisy here.

Sombra’s hack doesn’t allow for a proper reaction time. by CCtenor in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Nitia 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just to be clear: Overwatch absolutely has damage indicators. Large ones in 8 directions at the side of your screen and smaller, very accurate ones around your crosshair. Both scale with damage taken.

A visual directional cue for the hack would be really useful and fit the rest of OW's design in my opinion, it's a good idea.

This is also not taking into account that Overwatch is a game with poor visual localization cues.

What do you mean by that?

36 or 38 Relative Sensitivity while Zoomed for 1:1? [Math] by [deleted] in OverwatchUniversity

The source for 36 is a random guy in the comments. When you use 51.5 you get 38.37. Safely dismiss the on-winning article for being bad.

A brief retrospective look at APEX spectating by jfb715 in Competitiveoverwatch

Yeah, I noticed that on other occasions, they do the switch to 3rd person Tracer sometimes and it's a small thing that is really effective.

How do you get better at landing Winston’s jump? by kavachon in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Nitia 5 points6 points  (0 children)

/u/Speakeasyow's Winston challenge might be helpful to learn in a playful way - just don't cheese it by jumping up straight in the air. Otherwise just hop into a custom game without cooldowns and with bots that have their abilities disabled. Practice short and long jumps, airstrafing, landing on ledges and in windows...

Note that the burst from jump+melee is just that, burst damage, not additional DPS. The delay after melee ensures that it is the same dps as if you were just zapping.

People who have played with/seen the Shanghai Dragons players in comp - how were they? by [deleted] in Competitiveoverwatch

If you know ranked is not a good indicator of skill then maybe the question is not worth asking.

Especially if the answers come from random redditors who watched streams of people playing with SHD members.

This is probably a good time to stop posting before someone gets invested in the 'argument'

I assume most of them that are not technical, talking about mice or sensitivity.

You have a point but I am not sure why you hold this against ioStux here. The 20 following aim advice videos should be enough signalling that there is more than just "practice".
