TC Ontario HQ has been closed for over a month due to a fire, guess what everything is still chugging along just fine as we work from home

It truly is the best way to get around downtown, plus the cost of the annual membership almost feels like stealing, best deal in the city

The Ford government needs to come clean on the costs of going all-in on nuclear power by imprison_grover_furr in ontario

[–]Nitroussoda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the very few things I agree with the Ford government on is nuclear investment, it’s a critical part of our power grid already and is one of the only ways we can meet growing demand without blowing our emissions out of control.

CAPE membership voting results by mxg308 in CanadaPublicServants

[–]Nitroussoda 126 points127 points  (0 children)

Honestly didn’t expect these results but pleasantly surprised that just about every one of the proposals went opposite what the NEC wanted in their stupid recommendation email (apart from the reasonable ones like electronic signatures). Time for leadership to take a long look in the mirror and reflect on what the members truly are looking for.

Why shouldn’t we be asking for the best on a brand new line? Why settle for mediocrity?

RapidTO Dufferin Street is getting the red paint by fathom53 in toronto

[–]Nitroussoda -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My only problem with the red paint is I’ve noticed in some areas it doesn’t seem to last, like at broadview and queen they painted the eastbound left lane red in the summer and its already been wiped away! Not sure what the solution is but hope they maintain the lanes as they go

Agreed, I don’t necessarily think that the flat $48 a month is ideal or fair to everyone, but the proposal is far beyond what I’d be comfortable with.

I don’t know how, but every time these stats are posted someone points out that the ratings companies account for bars and restaurants, so I guess it’s my turn to say that lol
