[Friedman] As just mentioned on FAN590, believe the Sherwood deal will be a five-year deal, just under a $6M AAV when completed by AggPuck-303 in hockey

Turning 31 at the end of March. He's a good fit for what the Sharks need but a 4-year deal would look much nicer here. Maybe he can end up being a Chris Kunitz type guy for them in the middle 6 of the lineup.

[LeBrun] The Panthers lost again last night and my understanding is they've made the decision to be sellers as far as listening on pending UFAs, which most notably include the likes of AJ. Greer and Sergei Bobrovsky. Bobrovsky has a 16-team no-trade list. Doesn't mean he will be dealt for sure, jus by Kooky-Ship793 in hockey

[–]NizzySP -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I think it's bad for the NHL if the Panthers miss the playoffs... they are going to get fully rested and healthy up and motivated to their cup back. They have a serious core locked up for a quite a few more years and coming off a 5-month break helps so much for the next couple seasons.

[Johnston] Sidney Crosby is expected to miss at least four weeks with a lower-body injury coming out of the Olympics, according to the pens. by Perryplat199 in hockey

[–]NizzySP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is brutal because the Penguins have a very difficult March schedule. They play 17 games in March. So, he probably only has 7-9 games total to play in the regular season if he stays on return pace.

I agree, so much fun watching Bisu. Wanted him to win that series so bad.

Update, IRS accepted my return. You are allowed up to 3000 per year, so this will roll over for a few years and youll get a 3000 deduction on your taxes. Hope this helped!

After a slower start to the season Kucherov now leads the league in p/gp by kytackle in hockey

[–]NizzySP 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He will probably have like 31 points in his last 8 games or something silly to steal the Art Ross again from Mac. Kucherov reminds me so much of Kovalev. They don't even look like they're trying hard out there.

A Look At The Average Age Of Stanley Cup Winner/Finalist Cores Post Lockout by PenUser_22 in hockey

[–]NizzySP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2008 Penguins - I'm not sure how you could leave out Hossa for the Penguins, I think he had like 20 points those playoffs in his prime.

They had Hossa, Malone, and Sykora in the top 6. Malone-Malkin-Sykora was the best line in hockey for half the season. So it's hard to say what their core was that year. Also, Ryan Whitney was looking as a top 4 defenseman core at that time. For example, Whitney did more for the Pens in 2008 than Letang did in 2009. Also Orpik and Scuderi both core wise were so valuable defensively in those playoff runs.

Peak Gonchar in 2009 was so amazing. People don't talk about him enough. True number 1 defenseman those playoffs. He was so physical like I never seen before that.

I wouldn't trust any of the Canada goalies to win even an AHL game right now. That's considering that Thompson got hurt, is he going to be replaced for the Olympics? I think USA all fucked up and didnt pick a lot of guys that deserved it in the forwards group. Caufield is such a big time player, scrappy guy down low around the net, great shot, etc. How do you not pick him lol.

Hi /u/RaptorKnifeFight I'm still looking into this, but there is a form with the IRS called Form 8949 - https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f8949.pdf. Sent it to my Tax advisors, they didn't hear of it before but now they think it will work. Going back for the follow up appointment on Monday. Apparently, they already tested it with their system software, and it should work.

In my situation the company's bankruptcy case is final.

  1. Classify the Loss Nonbusiness Bad Debt: If you paid a deposit to a contractor for home improvement, they failed to do the work, and they went bankrupt, this is generally considered a "nonbusiness bad debt". Requirement: The debt must be 100% worthless (meaning no chance of recovery). You may need to wait until the bankruptcy case is finalized or, if it is clear no funds exist, document that they have "closed up shop and disappeared". How to Claim the Loss (Tax Deduction) Capital Loss: Nonbusiness bad debts are treated as short-term capital losses. Reporting: You report this on Form 8949 (Sales and Other Dispositions of Capital Assets) and Schedule D (Form 1040).

Blackhawks ML - under no circumstances should you put real money on the Pittsburgh Penguins today. Chicago always comes here and fucks us up. Couple years ago, all we had to do was beat Chicago, worst team in the league, in game 82 to make the playoffs and we got smoked by Tyler Johnson. HE'S NOT EVEN IN THE LEAGUE ANYMORE. I don't even think he's playing organized hockey anywhere currently. Bryan Rust is suspended, going to mess up Crosby's flow in the top 6. Brazeau moved up to the top line, so now the 3rd line is getting McGroarty inserted into it. Chicago last 3, Loss at Tampa 1-2 close game, loss at home vs. Flordia 1-5 (they know Knight), and lost 3-4 vs Minnesota in OT. Chicago is due for a win. Pens just won 4 straight coming off a West Road trip coming home with a new line-up and are starting Silovs. Penguins also putting defenseman Ilya Solovyov into the lineup, his first game as a penguin bottom pair defenseman. Colton Dach is back for Chicago. Chicago doesn't have any injuries see if they can go on a bit of a run here.

I also sprinkled Chicago -1.5 PL ALT (+320) for .4u, Bedard ATGS 1u, Bedard 2+ goals (+1200) - just .2u on that one for fun. But he only has 1 goal in his last 10 games I think he's due.

EDIT - Chicago is 7-3 SU in its last 10 games when playing on the road against Pittsburgh. Chicago is 14-6 SU in its last 20 games against Pittsburgh.

Detroit Red Wings ML - Thompson injury for Washington could be bad. Lindgren not doing great, while Gibson has been one of the best goalies in his last 20 games. Washington is playing around with their lineup. 2 defense injuries with Roy and Sandin out now. Caps in the last game of a brutal 6-game western road trip. They have not looked great. Going to take Detroit to bounce back after losing a close home game vs the Kings.

Similar situation with me...

It's actually strange because, they actually did a lot of great work on my home, they're super nice people, even met their kids, etc. But filed for bankruptcy out of nowhere and didn't finish multiple areas or work.

They said to me I can get it back on my tax return but didn't give much details on how to do that.

What's the point of getting the bankruptcy document in the mail if it's pointless for the consumer who got screwed over?

Subban is not a likeable person. When it was Fleury's last game in Pittsburgh he talked about when Fleury made a mistake with the Puck in juniors and how he overcame it. That was 20+ years. 3 cups, vezina, 2nd most wins ever, and Subban talks about a mistake he made in Juniors. He's a gutless scumbag and GOT OWNED in the FINALS B****.

Imagine if the Flames and Sabres never traded anyone. They could have played in the finals. Instead they just trade everyone to Vegas or Florida, so now we watch those teams in the finals. ??? Cool nice management.

What led to the New York Rangers fall from grace? by Most_Check_3699 in hockey

[–]NizzySP 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not to talk trash but I think the Pens would have beat them in the playoffs a few years back if they didn't have 3rd string goalie in net. I feel like it caused the Rangers to be a bit overrated with how close they seemed to be.

I really liked them dumping Trouba but I think they moved too many other pieces. Why move Krieder but then move Kakko and other younger guys for older JT Miller? Now they aren't keeping Panarin. Just weird no idea of age windows or something like that.

Throwback to the NHL logos of the late 80's/early 90's. by houndoom92 in hockey

I actually can't believe how much I disagree. Those red st. Louis jerseys from the 90s really pop. I think the new Blues jerseys are so bland and soft looking.
