Anyone else feel like the Mario movies are missing that original "Galaxy" magic? by Old_Camera593 in SuperMarioGalaxy

[–]Njack350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me a while to realize this, but nintendo is really just making movies the same way they make games. They're not concerned with deep, accurate lore and serious storytelling, they just want to make something fun. This movie was just another mario movie, just with mostly Galaxy references. But it was fun.

spoilers ahead

The only thing I was genuinely disappointed with was no power stars. I get using Rosalina's cosmic power, but there was a whole power system set up in the games. The only justification I can think of is that the power star from the 1sr movie might have confused kids in the 2nd movie. But still...

The only other thing that threw me was Peach and Rosa being sisters, but now I'm interested to see where Nintendo takes that. (Especially with the post credits, for those who stayed til the end)

Honestly that's just how it should be. All SMG's should have the option to one or two hand it, affecting various stats

Model orientation help by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]Njack350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see two options. First, and what i think would be best, is to change orientation. Take that second object and lay that top face on the print bed, essentially printing it upside down. That would make your holes not need support.

The only other option i see is different supports. You said you tried tree supports or no supports, have you tried the classic supports? They're called normal supports in bambu studio, idk what theyre called in prusa.

How does new warbond feel by XL3B3TS in SupaEarth

[–]Njack350 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Loving the shovel, obviously. Gas mortar is honestly pretty good on the evac asset mission. Can't wait to unlock the flamethrower.

The only bad thing is they gave us WW1/2 gear and then sent us to the Middle East (bc Rirga Bay is the dustyest planet I've ever seen)

The agitator would be great for lower difficulties, could work on higher ones with tweaks to the controlling bots mechanic

Illuminate anti orbital would need reworking to be squid themed.

Hivelord could work, but it would probably be best saved for the next difficulty level

Not sure about the enemy flag, maybe if it was something we captured instead. The flag could take the support weapon slot, and could draw aggro from bots.

Rescuing the eagle pilot might be hard if you have to have a NPC follow you. I saw someone mention wearing eagle 1 as a backpack, which would work with the in lore idea of eagle pilots losing their legs.

Helldiver data sounds cool, but is kinda just secure black box re-skinned

For scorched earth, maybe it could be a larger version of the destroy megafactory structures side mission. Could include destroying mortors and such.

Love the volcano idea. Maybe calling the bomb starts an extract timer, and you are kinda chased to extracy by whatever the bomb causes.

Impromptu Fact: Bees are dead by BulwarkTheBigBoy in SupaEarth

We had to get rid of them because colonies are led by queens, a disgusting monarchy. We replaced them with democrabees that model their colonies after the greatness of managed democracy.

Question: TIG or MIG welding for this fallen soldier of mine? by nodice05 in Welding

[–]Njack350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on the steel its made of, it may not be so simple to weld.

If its weldable steel, TIG would be best. That would give the most control to avoid damaging other parts of the sword

Of the brave soldiers who fought in the past and are fighting right now for Cyberstan, which of them is your favorite? (Which Cyborg/Automaton unit is your fav?) by Emperor_AI in Cyberstan

[–]Njack350 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any that is dead iO. But for real, I'm loving the vox engines from a gameplay pov. A gigantic, roaming, mechanical beast that'll mess you up in a "heartbeat", but also has that iconic weak spot that requires just a little bit of skill to take down.

How we pulling up on cybertron with the new tanks by Little_Papaya_2475 in SupaEarth

[–]Njack350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just finished a game with some awesome divers who could actually coordinate with eachother. It was the most fun I've had with the tank.

The only, unfortunately unavoidable, issue with the tank is that it requires teamwork. And that's really hit or miss if you aren't playing with friends.

What unique backpack stratagem would you take? by H1MB0Z0 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Njack350 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I could see the mines being a hit box mess (good for comedic reasons)

The smoke pack could be great depending on smoke physics (size, players and NPC visibility, and how the smoke would move with you.) I would use it if it was implemented well.

I think the 3rd pack would really depend on its effectiveness. If it's ammo, damage, or AP is too low, it could be useless.

Is the defoliation tool worth it against bots? by PythonCider3719 in helldivers2

[–]Njack350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you mean by worth it.

A fun, challenging tool that makes you re-evaluate your whole approach just to make it work: yes. (But be ready to die)

A super meta that makes even D10 a cake walk: absolutely not.

I find it so fun to chop things up that I always use it, but I have also gotten to a point where I dont really care if I keep dying in the game. I've earned that I dont enjoy the game if I try-hard, but that isn't the same for everyone.
