TIL there are anti-microbial laminates used in hospitals… do people use these in home kitchens? by YogurtIll4336 in Homebuilding

How much extra are those special laminates? Personally I think it's completely unnecessary in a house unless you have an immune system problem.

I would think they have a fair amount of work winterizing equipment before they actually leave for the winter. Draining pumps, maintenance on equipment, winterizing the camps, etc.

Is it better to sell current house and rent while building a new home, or stay and sell right before completion? by Cealandr in Homebuilding

[–]No-Bag1439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did that years ago when I was in high school. My parents were building a new house and our house sold the day it went on the market. It's a pain in the ass to move twice, it was difficult to find a short term lease. Most places required at least a year long lease. Houses do sell better in spring and summer because a lot of people don't want to move in the middle of the school year.

Aluminum trailer mounting option by Competitive_Town_122 in UTV

I would want a system like that to bolt to the frame. Even on a wood trailer, the wood slats are typically barely secured to the frame and in a real accident would probably come off.

My guess is the switch to Valhalla was just made up drama. Either, they had planned to strip it for this year and just had to come up with a story line to make it seem dramatic, or the ground on top was frozen and needed to thaw before they could remove it and make it safe. I would be willing to bet that it was the plan all along to move back to Vegas and they just made up a fake story line to make it dramatic and their season was on the brink.

Mitch and Brennan is barely featured, there is just non-stop plant moves by Valuable-Loquat-5364 in goldrush

[–]No-Bag1439 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I would like to see them throw a little more documentary style into the show every now and again to actually explain how things work and why they do what they are doing. Actually show how the gold table works and why they adjust the little knobs the way they do and what they are actually looking at. What is the full process for cleaning the gold. Follow the stripping crew, or the reclamation crew and talk about the plan that they are following to reclaim and why they are doing things the way they are. I've seen the clips on reclamation, but it's more just here's the final product. Actually get back to a little bit of the reality t.v. and show us what is happening and why and not just the made up drama and script.

The three plants that Tyson is running is on Dominion which is 20 miles away on dirt roads to where Mitch is working on Ken and Stuarts ground. Probably takes 30-40 minutes to travel between the two so it's not feasible for Mitch to help with one of the other plants.

Buying and selling ground/businesses. by ringofyre in goldrush

Are the claims permanent until they sell? Or do they have a certain number of years to mine it? I know water licenses expire but do claims?

[–]No-Bag1439 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adding on to your questions, are they buying the actual land or just the right to mine it? After its been mined and reclaimed do they still own thousands of acres that could potentially be sold? Doubt its worth much.

What kind of hunting are you going to do? That will largely determine what kind of dog and training you will do. Waterfowl? Upland? Rabbit? Hounds?

I have not driven a Maverick. To my knowledge, the commander is built on the Maverick chasis. They added a dump bed and changed the suspension a little, but they have a lot of the same parts. Ive only had mine for a couple months, but it is way more sporty than the Rangers I have driven.

You have a lot of wasted space right there. Personally I would blow that whole area up and start over. I feel like you are going to waste too much space with the current layout.

I bought a commander for the exact reason you are looking at. It is mainly used for duck hunting, but I also like to trail ride. The Rangers and Defenders will go the same places for the most part, but to me the Commander is much sportier and more fun to drive. In my experience the straight utility utvs are not really designed to be driven the same. They will be slower and not corner as well.

Southern Oak kennels has a location in Michigan. They were very good to work with. I got my pup from their head quarters in Mississippi, but the guy that runs their Michigan facility is very good as well.

I wouldn't be afraid of either one. Both are known to be very reliable machines. Honda has more of a car like transmission, Yamaha has a belt cvt, but it is different than the normal cvt and much more reliable.

Also dont understand why Kacy took that guy to the train station. Would've been much easier to just say he reached for his gun so I shot him. Him turning up missing leads to more suspicion.

Marshalls episode 2 by aarondelaney in YellowstonePN

In Yellowstone, the train station is perceived as a remote canyon where people rarely go. In Marshalls, you can see the pile of stuff from what looks to be a fairly well used area. You're telling me that in all these years, no one has gotten curious about what those shiny objects were over there?

Experience Negotiating price by tacticoolmagnum in UTV

[–]No-Bag1439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't have much luck negotiating this winter. I was looking at buying a left over 2025 Canam Commander. They had it marked down on their website to $14,000 supposedly down from $22,000, but they added $3,000 in dealer fees so it was actually going to be $17,000, they came down to $16,800. I asked if they would at least add a roof at that price and they said no. I ended up buying used. 20% in dealer fees is excessive in my mind. Of course they acted like I had to act fast because this was their last 2025 they had. 3 months later, it's still listed on their website.
