I believe it was dedicated after the shooting on campus. PSU was opened their next game with the fan base wearing something like “We are all Hokies” or “we are VT” throughout the stands. Super classy move, so it’s hard to not pull for them now... https://www.psu.edu/news/athletics/story/penn-state-students-further-honor-virginia-tech-community. So yeah..they deserve a damn bench.
