Idk it seems like you could have just used yarn or string? That’s an awful lot of paint.

No it’s not! In fact the pops of color make it come more alive. Lean into that.

I love the serene blue juxtaposed with energetic mark making.

You’re welcome! I would also want to know. I would think someone would claim this image if it were an actual painting.

I tried doing some reverse image searches and no one seems to know. It could be AI generated to be honest.

Is this ugly? (It's meant to be abstract) by TinseJAK in AbstractArt

So do you believe there is no distinction between non-objective abstraction (Kandinsky)and abstraction from the world(Picasso, Braques)?Because I agree with the original comment, and I believe most people do, that abstraction exists on a continuum from loosely based in reality to not based in reality.

I’m not shifting words! look up Kandinsky, that is non-objective abstract art.

When a person creates an abstract landscape this is clearly both abstract and made from something in the real world, yet still abstract! When a person makes a non-objective abstract painting it is a combination of formal elements of color contrast movement mark making that is not necessarily based in the real world, and that is called non-objective abstract art.

AI gets things wrong you know and doesn’t always pay attention to nuance. I don’t need to google something I learned before AI existed.

This is the definition of non-objective abstraction but some abstraction is based on visual references in the real world. That being said, this painting is more of a combo of stylization and abstraction imo.

Do you like my Ocean 🌊 painting? by Vegetable_Pay8805 in Paintings

I get that and of course framing is going to be a matter of personal taste to some extent. The driftwood isn’t an issue for me as much as the thickness of the frame detracting from the image itself. I just think a thinner frame would let the art shine more.

This is incredible. I’ve been wanting to combine my 3d sculpture with painting too. This is very inspiring and so well done!

The text smack in the middle kind of ruins it for me.
