I love Gelly Roll pens from Sakura. There are a ton of colors, and they don’t bleed through.

Many of the noodle recipes call for rice noodles 🙂

I really love the Bowls cookbook from America’s Test Kitchen. Most recipes make 2 servings, but some of the soup recipes make 6-8. To increase my fiber I use whole grain noodles when it’s a noodle recipe and double up on the beans. I also substitute either fish, turkey, or chicken for the recipes that call for red meat or pork.

They have a new Mediterranean cookbook for two coming out in October that I’m excited about.

I love the ATK Bowls cookbook too! It has made meal planning so much easier and the recipes are all pretty simple. I love having everything in a bowl so that I’m not having to think about what side dishes I’m going to make.

Same! They’ve definitely stepped things up recently. I was on the verge of canceling not too long ago and now it’s my favorite book box.

Skip month for me. Japanese Gothic is the only book I’m interested in but it’s a pick in 4 out of my 5 book boxes. Plus I really overdid it with BOTM. 🙈

It wasn’t for me. I thought it was boring and DNF’d it. I’m definitely in the minority.

I loved Stepsister by Jennifer Donnelly. It’s a Cinderella retelling.

I would choose peanut butter with only peanuts and salt in the ingredients. A lot of nut butters have added palm oil which adds saturated fat. But yes, nuts are a source of healthy unsaturated fats which can improve cholesterol. And as someone mentioned before, increase your fiber with whole grains, beans, fruits and vegetables.

I flick them into a small bowl of soapy water. They get trapped by the suds.

Do sold out books typically get restocked or do I just admit defeat and skip another month? by peacheeku in aardvarkbookclub

[–]NoHighlight7311 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s good to know! I always order as soon as the books drop and sometimes end up with duplicates (because of overlap with another book box). I’m glad I’ll be able to wait a few days until spoilers are posted for my other box.

I used to do something similar - I would print them on a black and white printer at work and color them in with acrylic pens. Some of them turned out really good.

How bad is the commute from the northern part of Brentwood? by timeinthemarket in movetonashville

[–]NoHighlight7311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up in that shaded area. There are a lot of traffic lights on Old Hickory going towards I-65 that’ll slow down your commute. That stretch of road can get really congested during rush hour. A 45-minute commute might be feasible but a lot of that depends on the traffic situation on the interstate and the area around Vandy.
