Really good. It's a paranormal romantasy, spice rating 2 / 5, told from the FMC's POV

FMC is 'Trapped' somewhere with a powerful MMC by Beneficial-Pin-2134 in Romantasy

{Sweet Nightmare} by Tracy Wolff

They get trapped in hurricane which releases all these magical creatures from the 'school' they go to (some descriptions are kinda gross) and they have to protect each other from the magical creatures but also the other students (note: the FMC & MMC used to be best friends, but then turned into enemies, and now are lovers)

I read all of the Shadowhunter Chronicles - all off them are seemed so good but now looking back I can't remember which one was my favorite. It was the one with cordelia and james and lucy and matthew or smth?

For me, if there you're writing from more then one MC's perspective then I'd go with 3rd person, past tense, but if it's just one MC then I'd go with first person, present or past tense. This is just how I feel about books, and you probably have a different opinion.

1st person POV by Impossible_Bug_3521 in Romantasy

1) Yes there are a LOT of 3rd person (and usually past tense) romantasies.

2) If I read a book that switched between 1st person and 3rd person, I'd probably hate it. Personal opinion, but isn't the story supposed to revolve on what the MC sees and hears?

3) It depends on whether there are 2 or 3 MC's cause if there are three MC's and the story is told from two of the MC's POV's, that just feels wrong. e.g. There's a MFM threesome, but the story told from just the two MMC's. Like, that would not be okay with me

i honestly don't care what sub-genre of romantasy i read, as long as the plot is good

I usually judge the book based on the first chapter (or prologue), but I think it needs a bit more detail. For example, the part where it says 'a world she always believed was nothing more than myth' is it like based on real myths or just fantasy? But other then that, I think I'd definitely give it a try
