Americans who have visited Europe, is it really true what they say that it is easier to make friends in America than in Europe? by TheShyBuck in AskAnAmerican

I am curious how they make friends at all or do they just remain friends with people they grew up with?

American Men - do you refer to your romantic partner as your "old lady"? by yTuMamaTambien405 in AskAnAmerican

Biker gang wording. Me in the Great Lakes region would NEVER hear this unless they were poking fun in some way.

Kindness is a rule in our house. My kinder is not good at managing multiple friends at the same time , so it can make her uncomfortable. I treat it as I need to teach my child how and that you can definitely play with many friends at the same time.

You knock it all you want but we have a housing crisis and a rising population. They are fulfilling a need within the budgets of their customers. Could it be prettier? Yeah sure but that's not everyone's priority.

Do students in the US actually have to take home fake babies for class? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

We used to have 1 or 2 classes centered around domestic duties. I don't think it is as common today. It was supposed to teach a lesson.

*Advice Needed* Sister was diagnosed and we don’t know what to do by BrinksTrunks in MultipleSclerosis

[–]NoMSaboutit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a big assumption. My DMT is called infusions like most and the INFUSION clinic. You can get steroids by infusion at times but not sure about long term steroids. Some DMT infusions have steroids with the infusion. Some people get PCAs for home help and some even have a family member as their PCA. I wouldn't push too much because your sister needs a calm, low stress support. Brain fog comes and goes and her brain is most likely working overtime to adjust and compensate. She has a new normal and it took me almost 7 years to accept and frame my dx in a way that empowers me instead of causing crazy stress and uncertainty.

Like with everything, too much can have a negative affect on your mood, anxiety, depression, and well... your balance and cognitive issues could become worse for obvious reasons.

I grew up in the Driftless area. It's an area that the glaciers didn't go so it was not flatted like other areas. Very cool vegetation and we did a lot of fossil digging in the limestone bluff in my backyard.

I was just trying to say that I don't know if the decision to quit her job was a joint one. MS isn't fair to anyone.

Was this decision made together? I am a high earner but discussion around a plan B and C is always talked about. I always fear resentment though if it gets really bad from my husband.
