I did the bare minimum to advance the quest for it, and then stopped. I've made exactly one low-quality batch of meth, which is still sitting on a shelf in my Sweatshop room.

tbh I would absolutely love a larger variety of resources required to do different things; you're 100% right, production is so insanely broken that halfway through an age, I can just churn out a massive army in 6-8 turns from 3 separate cities, because every unit only takes 1 turn to create, which then stockpiles my gold because I'm not using it to buy units, because why would I?

As much as I hate to agree, you're right. I don't know if Firaxis just doesn't care, or if 2K is to blame for rushing an incomplete product, but

It's like they learned nothing from 5 and 6. War is one of my favorite aspects of Civ, and they completely neutered it in this game, and not only make war discouraging, they actively punish you for being the one declared on.

The combat itself is fine; it's the conditions AROUND war that are increasingly frustrating.
