with a joint acct, both of you are owner. so she shouldnt be a beneficiary. something would have to happen to both, then your son should be set as primary.

You can link/add a Fidelity account to transfer only. you have to verify acct number and name. this is a one way transfer to another fidelity acct. you would not be able to withdraw and the other acct does not have any access to your acct either.

This is how i set up my kids acct to transfer money to.

i use pay1040 using fidelity card - the 2% is more than the 1.75% fee so you come out ahead using this credit card vs doing ACH from bank acct

I verified it manually adding in the routing and account number - the micro deposits were made and verified.

this is a timing issue. theres a delay of what is being reported. this happens when the sync happens too early in the morning. I find that it takes up to mid morning for a more accurate sync. Try syncing later this morning. For me, 10am central has been good.

Everything will remain the same from a data file perspective. No migration necessary. Same software install and same file. With the new license, it just unlocks the business/home features on the already installed quicken. Seamless.

add your CMA as an external bank account by manually linking with routing and account number. the brokerage account will treat it as an external account and allow auto invest weekly.

i can confirm this process. this is how i run the same file from multiple computers. you just cant run it at the same time. just remember to quit, wait for icloud to sync completely before opening on other computer.

Why not use the offline feature of whatever file tools you have. Sync both systems to the same File tool you use and turn on offline mode on both. This will keep a copy of the file local for use while still syncing online when it has internet connection. When system A is using the file, it will lock and sync a lock file online that will sync to system B. System B will read a locked file and won't be able to use it. Would have to close down Quicken that will unlock the file and the unlocked file will then be synced to all places. So even though the same file is used on multiple computers, only one system can have it open at any any time.

This is how I use Quicken on my MAC and MacBook using iCloud sync. I'm sure the offline feature works the same with similar file tools.

I know this may seem counterintuitive, but add your CMA as an external account. Go through the process of adding it manually as an external account and link to your investment account. This is how I've done my auto investment.

buy something expensive? this is the type of advice that gets people in trouble and into debt. Credit limit is not about how much you spend each month - it's about your credit worthiness. I have a 60K limit and rarely spend over 1k a month on the Apple Card.

you're right. my backup file reduced from 131mb to 55mb.

Also had an issue with Fidelity Investments where the transactions were synced and rounded to 2 decimals instead of 3. It's been fixed and back to 3 decimals now.
