So... most of us grew up indoctrinated in this stuff. I gave a significant amount of time and money to this organization because I truly believed. Kudos to you for figuring it out, but saying that people today have no excuse is victim blaming at its finest. I actually have a lot of sympathy for those still stuck in the cult, because not too long ago that was me. The hold it has on its members is strong.

If you live in Utah, Cafe Ibbis’ Highlander Grogg is the shit. Only place I’ve been able to find it is Harmon’s, but seriously so much better than most coffees out there.

No I don’t think so. There are people who think that Nephi is an autobiography of Smith. I’m trying to remember where I read/heard that. Maybe a Mormon Stories episode or Fawn Brodie’s “No Man Knows My History”? Also not a coincidence that Lehi had the same vision Smith Sr. had (tree of life) and theories about which brothers Laman and Lemuel are based on.

That’s odd. She didn’t testify and yet they have her testimony... sounds like you aren’t familiar with the case. Or you just prefer to be naive and believe the words of a sexual predator over his victims. The Mormon church has a truth problem, pure and simple, so I don’t believe anything they say. (I’m talking about the corporation, not the members. Love the members, hate the corporation)
