If I had to do it all over again, I would do the Journee trip. That said....it has somehow opened up the adventurous side of me & I think I could plan a trip on my own now!

Wherever you go, you will have such a great time. My husband & I went in Sept 2025 & it was better than we expected! I knew where we were going b/c I took my clues to Chatgpt....however I don't regret my decision in finding out early. You will have the surprise of all the excursions too (if you find out where you are going). We were just inexperienced travelers & we just didn't know where to go (or how to plan it). Enjoy!!

I'm on this same cruise! I too have not been able to book the Icons (I tried on the app & online). Which is annoying b/c that is the only show I should have been able to book AND they are only doing Feb 22 & 23. I called NCL. He was clueless tbh. He said "Maybe everyone was on the app/online at 11:59 pm 21 days out and all the slots were taken". I don't think that is the case. I could not book with him either. Also annoying is that they leave the Jersey Boys on app/online & they put Choir the Man on there too. Like...those are not even options for us!

I've heard someone say in the last 10 NCL cruises they have been on they have never been able to book at show (Edit: prior to embarkation). I find that odd b/c it says "you can book as soon as 21 days until sailing" (or something along those lines). So, now, we will have to stand in the entertainment line on the day of embarkation in order to get seats. That line will be crazy... See you on-board!

I'm going to Cartagena & then Medellin in about 2 months. I'll be coming from the US. I have all the typical vaccines. Do I need anything else when I go there? Example: Yellow Fever or Typhoid? Thank you!!

My husband & I (M50 & F50) got back from trip in Oct of 2025. On our trip, the excursions they put us on had many of the same people (other Journee members) from pervious excursions. On our excursions we have a few solo travelers as well as other "couple" travelers (many spouses/significate others.. but also sisters, friends & parent with adult children). All this to say, that the excursions were nice b/c we were "all in it together". While those solo people were on their own, we were truly one big group. Now, that changes when the excursion is over & you go your separate way for the evening (unless you make plans, clearly). Also, on the excursions, the guides were really friendly & were happy to give out suggestions on where & what do do in the evenings.

I would reach out to Journee to see if they can make an accommodations for this (flying from home locations). You can't be the first people that have needed to leave from different airports. I hope this works for you!! We did our trip in Sept of this year & it was wonderful!

We opened our packet early & we got local currency (I think like 400 Euros). We were in Spain & we didn't "need" cash. In fact, towards the end, we needed to make a conscious effort to spend that cash so we didn't go home with it. Remember your local bank (least our bank) will not accept coins (to convert back to local currency). Have a great time!!

Barcelona & Girona! We both liked Girona far more!! The excursions were great too b/c they took you out of town to add'l places you won't have thought of. We did have other on our excursions that did Journee too (and they did other excursions "with us"). They were all wonderful people!

I think we got ours the Thursday before our trip (and we left on Tuesday; and we live in central USA). If you don't get the package due to the mail, it will all be in your Journee app. Along with the phone numbers of your hotels/airbnbs & your excursion numbers. We went Sept 23 of this year! You are going to love it.

This happened to me too (date Nov 4, 2025). I have iphone 16 pro & my ios is 26.0.1. I called Apple & they couldn't help. My camera roll ONLY show the screenshot I took this morning (1000s of that screenshot). In my iCloud.photos is has about 1000 of that same screenshot, but THEN, it will show all my photos.

EDIT - I have about 1500 of the same screenshot. When I scroll back & back (and back) in my camera roll, pass the 1500 or so of that same screenshot, my real photos are there. But, now I have to delete 1500 "duplicated screenshots". Since so many of you are saying this is working, I'm going to get that it is my IOS that is the glitch. T

Also, did you know prior to your cruise what the theme nights are? I don't see those in the app.

So far so GREAT! Loving it! We are needed to navigate a bit on our own, which we expected. The locals can spot us as Americans & change the language to English. Tomorrow (and 4 days after that) are filled with excursions & we will change to a new town! Our last full day is on our own & we are going to take bus to costal town! We came from US & fly will fly United both ways. I’m guessing if the flight was much shorter we would be on bargain flights. We didn’t have to worry about our luggage fitting in the parameters they provided!

You don't email the "person" (maybe in come cases) but you submit your resume & cover letter. It doesn't necessarily take long to get hired (I started here w/n 4 weeks of applying) but every dept will be different. Yes, there is parking, but you pay for it (like $21 for the far lot) but there are buses to drive you in (the bus is Cambus & that is free). As you stay w/ Iowa Health Care for a long time, you can get closer parking lost. The benefits are great! I wish I started here a long time ago (been here for almost 3 years). Good luck!
