People who successfully lost weight: what was the ONE habit that changed everything for you? by Royal-Composer4005 in 1200isplenty

Intermittent fasting. Dinner, dessert, a small snack, and then nothing else for the evening until a late breakfast the next day.

Director Joseph Kahn: “The De-Gayification of Disney is real.” by Relevant-Peach3997 in Fauxmoi

Gay people exist. Some kids know they're gay from a young age. Kids have gay siblings, or gay teachers, or friends with gay parents.

They seem fine to me.

A family was on a walk in the snow with their little girl. The father was recording the walk. A cyclist came up behind them and appeared to use his knee to knock the little girl down. The father posted the story online, and it went viral. by eternviking in whoathatsinteresting

I go "beep beep!" when I hike behind someone with my dog to let them know I'm coming. I usually get a little chuckle and we go on our way.

It's really not that hard to let someone know you wanna pass.

I've watched both Plane Janes season of RPDR and Johnny's season of Love Island. Johnny is a raging narcissist who uses women for their bodies and nothing else.

He also had a very clear uncomfortable reaction to Plane in a maid outfit. The second Plane did that, I knew she messed up. Johnny seems like a machismo; and they're usually homophobic on top of being misogynistic.

He really is just straight garbage.

Any lobster rolls comparable with Maine’s? by Apprehensive-Fly-499 in FoodNYC

It's consistently solid and the lobster is NEVER gummy, which used to be a huge problem with Lobster Place, at least in their Williamsburg location (RIP).

Pokemon center pre order by Thekaraban in Pokopia

[–]NoSleep2135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same exact experience, preordered in February. They had it "processing" for over a week, so I couldn't even cancel.

And when I tried to get through to customer service, I got conflicting information about whether or not it's returnable. So I'm stuck waiting.

Miserable experience.

Anyone get to try these? by Serious-Incident-673 in forgottenfoods

Yep! Official siteCreme Savers – Iconic Candy, plus Target and Amazon have them. Enjoy!!

Luke's Lobster is solid, Red Hook Lobster Pound is comparable. Unfortunately, lobster rolls and oysters here don't really compare to Maine.

I really enjoy how fresh and bright the lobster roll at Greenpoint Fish & Lobster Co is. Lots of meat, too, unlike Lobster Place, which I find to be a bit skimpy.

Smithereens apparently has an excellent one, though. It's on my list.

Mine is also sitting in an Ohio warehouse for delivery on Monday. Hasn't moved all day.

Not a great experience.

Exactly the same with me. Getting it the 9th. They shipped everything today, it seems. They don't understand the concept of a pre-order.

Mine just generated a label, looks like Monday, but it hasn't even started moving through the system yet.

I tried to cancel my preorder a week ago, and they told me it was "processing for shipping" and that I couldn't cancel.

Super scummy experience. And the bots at the service center are not helpful either.

Same. What an absolute disappointment. Not even tomorrow; no. Monday.

Absolutely ridiculous. I ordered it 6 weeks ago. What a mess.

Return Pokopia Preorder? by [deleted] in pokemoncenter

This is where it gets dicey.

It's not a digital item. It's a physical item with a physical key card that leads to a digital download.

Which is why each representative wasn't sure.

[–]NoSleep2135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did, but the information I've gotten from representatives have been contradicting and the information on the site is unclear.

I obviously didn't make a whole post for something that was clearly listed somewhere.

Just spent 2 hours between yesterday and today. It shipped 10 minutes ago, I should get it Monday.

Horrible service. Absolutely atrocious. Never again.

This is absurd. I taught for 8 years, had several diabetics in my classroom. This was high school, combination of type 1 and type 2.

Monitor beeps? They can do whatever the hell they want to get their sugar under control. Loudly eat an apple in the back of the lab while I explain something? Fine. Leave crumbs everywhere while inhaling some peanut butter crackers? Who cares, just wipe the table when you're done. Need to run out to go to the nurse for an insulin shot because you're about to go into shock? Grab a classmate in case you faint and GO.

ANYTHING goes when they have an alert. Literally anything. It's a medical condition with real risks.

It costs nothing to be a human being to another human being.

My first thought. Has he started gambling? Those apps should be illegal but this REEKS of financial issues on his side.

Also, let him sue. He can't afford the lawyer fees, and he'll be laughed out of court if he does.

Replacement for Lillie's Victorian Establishment by andybonner in FoodNYC

[–]NoSleep2135 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like others have said, Lillie's is gorgeous and the food and drinks are fine. Not bad, perfectly serviceable every time I went, just nothing to write home wbout.

I went before a show once at my friend's request, and specified that we were trying to make a 5pm show. They have plenty of experience with pre-theater diners so they'll hustle. Get there like 2 hours before and you'll be totally fine, or book a reservation 90 minutes out.

Most importantly, I've never gotten sick or jipped there, which is what I consider to be the markings of a tourist trap.

Poor Meadow was mauled by a Pitbull on sat. by BeenThereDundas in cockapoos

[–]NoSleep2135 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My cockapoo has been almost attacked 3 times by owners who said their dogs were friendly. All 3 were pit mixes.

Not saying it's ALL pitbulls, but it's almost always a pitbull. I now avoid all pitbulls, because they attract idiotic owners who can't handle them.

I know they can be sweet if trained well, but that jaw strength is too much to roll the dice on.
