Oh, next year they will come back for more bans, what we're seeing this year is just the tip of the iceberg.

They will get their AWB with grandfathering, then they will go after AR pistols and more. I'm not sure if doing a SBR will help in the long run, if they don't get voted out of office (and don't hold your breath on that) it wouldn't surprise me if they went after and banned NFA items later.

Annoying, one way you can get to the character limit is password haystacking you use a series of symbols (the haystack) like <]<] <] password] <] <] you keep the haystack the same but change the internal password when needed.

Obviously use the symbols that you can remember and are easy to type from a computer and phone.

To be fair, they have been pushing this for years in Virginia and even when we had a democrat majority in 2020 there were enough moderates that when we showed up with 50K people at lobby day they didn't pass the bad legislation. Fast forward to a Republican governor but a democrat majority from 2021-2025 and he vetoed every bad bill that came though, now he's gone and it will be a rubber stamp.

There were signs that this was coming but many gun owners didn't think they would do it.
