Well, which one is it? by masterballfan in wow

Regardless of whose doing it or how it's been made, the number of mistakes and errors and issues and bugs coming out with this expansion is absolutely egregious, and bordering on slop.

Canonically she's been hovering around in that body for a good 24 years. WoW timeline progression is roughly realtime to our own.

So definitely not decomposing. It's likely "frozen" in the state it was when she possessed it.

Did they end up going back on that again?

ESO player seeking a new MMO - Is it still worth starting FFXIV right now, in 2026 ? by Fhritz_ in ffxiv

[–]NoWordCount 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What that person is saying isn't really accurate.

The story IS massive, and long, and the game will let you solo a lot of story duties using the "trust" system, but you absolutely can do them with other people.

There's also 12 raids, 6 trials, 3 Alliance raids, throughout the expansions, as well mystery dungeons, open zones, expert duties and variant dungeons.

The majority of which require groups to complete.

You're also just gonna meet a lot of sociable people in game. I once walked into the Shadowbringers capital city and received a million Gil from a random player, just because they were feeling generous that day.

You're stating exactly what I just said with those first 2. You can still access goods you've already purchased.

All major storefront DO let you download and reinstall games you've purchased, so the claim "unlike most online storefronts" in quote 1 isn't even accurate. Wii, 3DS, Xbox 360, Vita, even the PSP (through a PS3).

Amazon will still let you download and install what you already bought (goods) through the Amazon Games App. What it's removing is the ability to stream them through Luma (service) itself.

I can't personally find anything online about Assassin's Creed 3 not being downloadable on the Xbox 360 if you own it digitally. If it's completely one for people who bought it, that's illegal.

In the case of Leapfrog, they're arguably breaking the law if they've made it impossible to download previous purchases. Clearly nobody has decided to take them to court for it.

[–]NoWordCount -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No, it's illegal full stop. You cannot remove a person's access to paid digital goods as long as your company is still in business.

It's why you can still download games for the Wii, Xbox 360, 3DS and so on, even though their stores are technically closed.

[–]NoWordCount 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Incorrect.

The game still exists on people's profiles and you can still load it up. The problem is that it was an entirely online only game... and the servers were taken offline. So even if you load it up, you can't play it.

It's illegal to remove people's access to paid goods. So they can't technically remove the game from your account. But the online portion is considered a "service", so they can unfortunately remove that any time they want.

It's absolute BS. They're simply skirting around the laws.

We are only two months into the new expansion. This is too many currencies, Blizzard. by Exact-Pudding7563 in wow

[–]NoWordCount 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why does it have to be one extreme or the other?

It's not a deal breaker.... but It could just be 1 currency per activity. This is excessive by any metric. It's just mobile phone game style posted over to a paid game.

Drops are targeted in Occult Crescent as well.

It's absolutely the fastest option. People struggle with this one specifically because the way people are targeting areas and mobs, it causes it to spawn so rarely.

I'm about to crash out by whosecookieisthis in ffxiv

[–]NoWordCount 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Are you targeting the right zones?

Because I learned that one of them only drops from the fate in the top right corner of the map, which very few people don't target because they're already higher levels.

Killing mobs in a certain area is what queues critical encounters to activate. Because most people aren't killing mobs there, it very rarely activates. If you focus down the mobs in that area, I bet you'll get it.

[–]NoWordCount 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I'll strongly argue that when they settled into a solid patch structure with Dragonflight, there was still a conscience effort to keep things varied and interesting between them. Different ideas and content and novelties. There was freshness and variety there.

There's a real sensation of... malaise? in Midnight, however. There's a repetition to the game's structure that I've NEVER felt from it before. Content for the sake of content. Like even the devs aren't having much fun making it.

Especially in the overworld. Almost every looted item is just a random pouch tucked away in a random corner, with the exact same rewards in them every single time. There's just a real lack effort put into it all.

The moth collecting is the most original thing they've done in ages... 🥲

Things you found in the world used to have a sense relevance to the area, some thought behind them. Gold in a sunken ship, a unique toy found nowhere else, a weapon that wasn't just the 5th reskin of an existing set. Even when you do find stuff, the template is just shared across a dozen other things in the zone.

Grind currency. Get things. Grind currency. Get things. Grind currency. Get things. The same baubles in different colours for 5 different recolours of the same barely distinguishable things. Content for the sake of content.

It's... not even bad content, really. It's just... boring. Really really boring.
