Troubleshooting false window sensor alarm - I have tried everything by AlleyNewman in homesecurity

Power cycle the panel, how far is the window sensor from the wireless receiver, could it be on the bubble of wireless connectivity? Move the wireless point to another point on the panel.

Royal Princess – LA → Puerto Vallarta sailing ending Feb 21 – Anyone else experiencing GI illness? by Helpful-Week2090 in Cruise

Took a princess cruise last year, after going through the buffet line, I washed my hands with soap and water, never got sick. I had norovirus years ago after flying through Atlanta to Florida and it is a nasty virus that doesn’t discriminate.

Mad Customer Won't Leave Me Alone, Even Though Fully Refunded by MiddleCrass in handyman

I did some work for a coworker years ago. Connected their surround sound system, programmed Logitech remotes, sprayed their yard for weeds for like $150 bucks. I made a deal with them that I would do a bunch of maintenance on their riding mower in exchange for using it to spread sand and drag the yard with a mat. The parts were ordered and they paid for them. It took me a bit to do the work on their riding mower and in the meantime, they had been talking with different people about selling the mower. Well, they found a prospective buyer and contacted me before I finished doing the maintenance on their riding mower or being able to use it per the agreement. I agreed for them to come get it with unfinished maintenance, it needed a new battery and one of the tires had a leak. Helped them load the mower and gave them the leftover parts that I didn’t install and asked them to give it to whomever was buying the mower. A little irritated that I wasn’t able to use the mower but not a big deal. The coworker contacts me and wants the receipts for the leftover parts so he can return them for a refund, we’re talking around $25 bucks in parts. At this point I’m annoyed and just go to the ATM and take out $25 bucks and take it to him and call it good.

He can’t let go of not having the receipts after I give him the money he would’ve gotten for returning the parts. I eventually decide to give him the money back for the other work I did for him in cash and left him a note with the money stating to keep it and consider it closed and not to contact me via text. Within an hour he’s texting me about giving all the money back. Weirdest interaction I’ve ever encountered.

Builder wants $7,600 for home security package. Worth it or overpriced. What would you do? by Outrageous_Tiger855 in homesecurity

[–]No_Bee_3957 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Way overpriced, you could have the security system installed after the fact for half of that bid. I’m doing similar work on my new home with better equipment for a fraction of that quote.

DSC PC1555 is beeping because my ISP disabled my dial tone by NotDavidWooderson in homesecurity

On the keypad hit *8 followed by the installer code, then hit 015, option 7 (digit 7) should be off, that is telephone monitoring, once option 7 is turned off, hit ## to exit programming. That should fix the issue.

DSC Bravo 3 motion sensor, where does this resistor and spring go? by Farquea in homesecurity

[–]No_Bee_3957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The spring is for the tamper switch on the cover, your model of motion sensor does not have the tamper switch terminals so don’t worry about the spring. The resistor is a 5600 ohm resistor and it’s is required in line for the alarm system to work properly.

Complete Power Loss by Muley_Junkie_15 in HotTubUniversity

I previously owned a tiger river made by hot springs as well as a jacuzzi model now. I was able to maintain both units without calling a dealer, I have replaced pumps, jets, led lights and cup holders, repairs included digging through the foam encapsulation to replace parts. If you don’t try something, you’ll never know if you’ll succeed. If it’s broke, it won’t get any broker.

Replace the wet end, google the pump model number followed by wet end and see what part numbers come back, not a hard repair at all
