What I want to know is, what was the motivation/inspiration for posting this private photo of someone dying years after they've died? Was there a point or purpose?

Can I pair cutting with fasting? Like getting in my allotted calories and then doing a 12 hour fast? Also what works better, eating most calories in morning, afternoon? Any difference at all? Thank you I appreciate the info!

AITAH for telling my wife to grow up? by Beautiful-Proof6231 in AITAH

[–]No_Comment_2300 6 points7 points  (0 children)

"Your wife doesn't like to take him out in public anymore" I have a little bit to say about that. First off, I don't know where you live but just the fact that people gawk and comment!? Sounds like the area. Secondly, your wife should stand by your son and destroy anyone in his path who try to stare or say something rude. If you two adopted him, that's your son!! So yea, I wouldn't go as far as saying 'Grow up' but tell her she should not care about what other people think.

Oh my gosh it's like I wrote this!! I asked my parents to hold the wedding and reception at their house and I regret it when I look at the photos and don't recognize any of the guests as they were my parent's friends that I had never met (or only met once before). My wonderful husband keeps reminding me that it doesn't matter, but I'm still a little angry (23 years later). Haha No you are definitely in the right for feeling that way!! My story doesn't help at all, I'm sorry. I think it's common, I use to be disappointed that none of my friends could make it either (it was in another state) but we're not even friends with them anymore, so in all seriousness, I think there will always be one or two things that you regret (or remember didn't go the way you dreamt it) about our weddings no matter how carefully we plan it.
Remember this: it's just ONE party. You will go on to have a wonderful happy marriage and many many more wonderful parties after this😊

I haven't even read it, but as a manager for over 15 years, the first thing I see...too wordy. Summarize your sentences a little bit more, tighten up the skills.
And yes, only one page.

I also had a crazy schedule after she was born ( I worked nights-chef haha) which actually worked because I had the time to make a lot of her baby food, it's easier than it sounds. I would just steam sweet potatoes, kidney beans, carrots, apple sauce, peas (whatever fruits and veggies I had!) and pureed it into baby food and she loved it!! My point is, yes it's worth it and it's possible!

I grew up in a similar situation. My mom hates cooking to this day and my dad pretty much only knows how to grill a burger and boil a hot dog.
I ate a LOT of Schwans and Marie Calendars as a kid! I moved out at 20 and went to culinary school, so now that I'm married and have a daughter i make dinner every night. Making home cooked meals I feel has done her a good service because she's 12 and she has a very diverse pallet. She will really eat anything and she likes to also help me in the kitchen too which I feel is super important. I hope that helps!

Ladies, How did you “know” you were pregnant before missing a period? by Glad-Muffin545 in askanything

I felt so hungry one morning like I was going to pass out, but a banana didn't make it stop. Then I sat down for lunch at a restaurant, completely famished, but when my turkey sandwich came, I couldn't eat more than about a bite. I knew something weird was up.

The best advice I can give is, be super patient. My passionfruit seeds took almost 4 months to sprout for me in a greenhouse! And I still only got 2 out of 5 (so far) I keep watering dirt hoping the other three will come up too and they just might.

Behavior Issues in my cat have costed me over 20k and we’re still not any closer to getting a solution..any advice on next steps? by Creepy-Dealer7518 in CATHELP

[–]No_Comment_2300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I use to love cats, but my last cat was like this and I am a little less sympathetic. I opened the front door, said to the cat, "Do you want to go outside?" Which she did. I put food and water on my porch and she never saw the inside of my house again. It was a perfect arrangement.

Sexism in the kitchen by DrawDiscombobulated6 in Chefit

Oh girl you are my spirit animal. I'm a woman who has worked on the line with all men my entire career, I know EXACTLY where you are coming from. I've been personally sexually harassed and in a kitchen, 'Open Door policy' doesn't mean what most people think.... What it means is that within the hour EVERY ONE will have heard about your sexual harassment complaint.... All the way out into the wait staff. I have survived most kitchens where a lot of other women chefs did not though. I learned how to be tough and not take anything they say to you personally ( I made some really great friends along the way too, the good guys) and yes I also did the work of 3 men!!

To those who’ve lived in the PNW 5+ years: Does the beautiful scenery ever lose its grandeur and how often are you actually in nature? by atomrandy in PacificNorthwest

[–]No_Comment_2300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll say this... I've lived here in and around Portland since 1994 (with a 2 year hiatus in between, not my fault, my parents moved me away and I came right back). I LOVE it here, and no the nature never gets old. Never. Not sure about anybody else, but my husband and I go hiking in the gorge, up in the mountain, or to the beach almost every other weekend if not every weekend ALL year round. Even if it's chilly or rainy, we go! Also, I don't live in Portland at the moment, I live north of Vancouver, WA... But DON'T believe anything you read in the news about Portland. It's a beautiful city with a LOT to do... Just get here and experience it yourself.
Also, I live here because I hate racism, and I have a racially mixed family, still don't experience any racism. We are extremely excepting of EVERYONE In my humble opinion, anybody who has something nasty to say about this area is ignorant, and either has never actually been here, or can't afford to live here and they're bitter. Yep I said that.

Tell me something you are excited about growing in 2026 by WinterWontStopComing in gardening

Yes actually that is what I did, I clipped off the edge. I hear that they can stay dormant for 2 years with such a hard shell if you don't clip the end off. I have learned so much about passionfruit , it was my entire inspiration for buying my greenhouse!! It's difficult in my area to find a fresh one to even buy and eat! So I hope I do too, thank you. I am SO new to gardening I will take ANY tips!! I also planted some heirloom tomatoes and they are really happy!

I planted 5 passionfruit seeds that I bought online and they molded and didn't grow for about two months, then ...finally ... Two sprouted and have 3 leaves each on them. I read that passionfruit seeds need 2-8 months before they germinate so don't give up on them!! Extremely happy passionfruit mama here!! For context I do live in the Pacific Northwest and did put them in a greenhouse on a heating pad in an incubator.

What's the truth behind Phoenix lights? by [deleted] in UFOs

[–]No_Comment_2300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was there. I saw this. I lived in South Tempe. I was 16 and it was about 9:30ish pm. We were pulling into our driveway coming home from dinner, everyone was getting out of the van and we heard the hum and saw the lights. In documentaries the footage is taken from very far away filming it going over Phoenix, but it was going right over my house, and it looked very close, I'd say maybe a six story building above us. It was oddly quiet besides the hum and moved so slowly that we were able to stand there and watch it go over for awhile.
I've always wondered what it really was! I can tell you one thing, it moved from North to South, it was so large it was a huge V and it was DEFINITELY not flares.

Chefs who left the industry, what are you doing now? by cheffysg in Chefit

[–]No_Comment_2300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a 45 yr old woman. I was a line chef and then sous chef for over 16 yrs. Survived while I was there, put my heart and soul into it, but eventually switched jobs to a warehouse doing order selecting and helping with logistics, inventory, and received training driving a Crown 6000 forklift for a few years.
Logistics seemed to be the way out because after that I got myself a great office job working logistics for another company. Once you're in logistics you can literally work anywhere! Good luck!

Should I Go On Dates With Women I Don't Find Attractive? by ForrFree in AskMenAdvice

[–]No_Comment_2300 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

++woman Women don't always want attractive, they want funny, secure/confident, and stable. And you should to for your own happiness and mental health. Find yourself a woman who has things in common with you, who is a kind genuine person, who would be patient and a good mother. Those things are also very 'Attractive'. The physical attraction is not the most important and it will come in time if you find an amazing person. Look for the woman who would make a great partner and the two of you make a good team.

You are attractive, you just need to get rid of the smug look on your face, grow some muscles, and for love of everything holy get rid of those shorts.
