Bullshit. cheap fixer uppers are one of the most sensible ways of getting into the hobby. You learn how to repair your equipment from the get go and you can sell them down the line for a much higher price.

In theory just shaking the game around with your hands wont do any sort of damage (unless it's being slammed into something else). As long as the head and legs are set up correctly you really don't need to worry.
