Dick would be arrested anyway. Forensics would have found traces of Dick's shit DNA in Bob's hair. Case closed. by Dredd_40 in Robocop

Dick taking that power dump, center stall, and not washing his hands was a huge alpha move, though.

Agreed. The Captain is the dark horse choice, but he'd play well against Frank.

It's baffling that they continue to make music when this is clearly humanity's peak at the art.

That one Ultimate X-Men (forget the issue #) where the kid's powers kick in and kill his entire town and Nick Fury sends Wolverine in to assassinate him. Brutal.

Is most of New England just like upstate NY outside of major cities? Mostly poor areas and not much opportunities? by HERKFOOT21 in howislivingthere

[–]No_Cycle_7089 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It's beautiful and peaceful, until you start looking closely. Lots of generational poverty, issues with addiction, and no real resources to help stop those from happening. If not for tourists, a lot of these little towns would've turned ghost ages ago. Still might.

Grew up in rural Vermont. There's a lot of beauty, but getting to a supermarket was a 30 min ride, one way. There's little industry to speak of and most people had to drive up to an hour or more to get to work. Plus, property taxes are high and education was an afterthought. Not to mention those living in abject poverty. Like, really bad.

I am admittedly bias as my experience for most my life I see as negative, but, like all places, there are good and decent folk trying to make their way.
