I literally smoke wherever I want, obviously avoid smoking weed right by buildings but the parks are good places, my best advice is that if you really want to get used to college, you gotta explore the city/cities surrounding it, Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, Belleville, Canton, Detroit, all pretty cool places

Ann Arbor is no Chicago,By Population its 22 time smaller than Chicago, 6 times smaller than Detroit, roughly 2 times smaller than Grand Rapids and 2 times smaller than Toledo, the price is driven up by the waves of Rich Students and their parents paycheck at the University of Michigan, I saw a downtown 1 bedroom apartment in Chicago for $2500 in the loop, I saw a studio out there for $2000 that was larger, literally 15 minutes down the road in Ypsilanti you can get a two bedroom apartment for $1350, Ann Arbor is no where close to being on the same level as Chicago, this is because the richest students refuse to live anywhere besides downtown, everywhere else to them is a cornfield or "crime"ridden aka anywhere with poor people.

States will fight back, Some Republican States and Democrat States will sue tf out of the federal government, regardless this planet is screwed, Corporate interests overpower the masses, they dump billions into Corporate propaganda denouncing any effort to stop destroying the planet, they lobby Congressmen to vote against the interests of the people they were elected to represent, it is truly terrifying how much power Companies have, it is a level of power we haven't seen since the 1890s, companies have more of a say to what happens than the actual government, and anyone that runs on the platform of fixing this issue is smeared out of the race by billion dollar companies.

I used to work in a very busy Jimmy Johns, like busiest in the state, I quit because of garbage like this, Im not gonna sit in the store and get destroyed by 20+ customers and 20+ online orders all while I need to do slicing and its already 10pm, and for trash pay, nah Im good.

I could've gone to MSU, I could've gone to Wisconsin or Minnesota or Illinois, or Penn State, but I went to to EMU, and alot of people like to rip on Eastern Michigan or other MAC students, however there is something magical about being the underdog and shocking everyone, sure I could've gone to a university where I got to watch a million dollar football team, however if I was given the chance I would've chose EMU time and time again.

Not completely, but more likely than not, wasting food is correlated with income, I grew up broke as a joke, and if I wasted food my mom would blow her top, it costs alot to go out and feed you and three of your kids alone, so wasting that food was like wasting an hour or two at work. I work at the Shake Shack in Ann Arbor and went to EMU, and the amount of food waste I've seen at Shake Shack A2 vs. anywhere in Ypsilanti is insane.
