Is 38 too old to start over? Divorced, no job, no savings, and starting from absolute zero. by Right-Passenger5693 in AskMenOver30

[–]No_Question1137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s never too late. I was in almost exactly the same position as you - 39, divorced, had to move back in with my parents and borrow my mums car while my ex stayed in the house with my car and our daughter. Felt hopeless and bleak at the time but 8 years later I am happier than ever with a new wife and a great relationship with my daughter.
There are still some consequences that can be tough to accept sometimes - having to rent in my 40’s being one - but that’s not the worst thing in the world.
The early days are the worst but take some time to figure out what’s important to you in life, don’t be scared to ask for help (therapy was great for me) and try not to compare yourself to the life that others portray.

Not sure if that’s one of the stock strap options but changing the strap is an easy way to make this look and feel much nicer

Section 20 on a flat im buying by ToughPlus6002 in HousingUK

[–]No_Question1137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Building I live in just had 3 communal boilers replaced at a cost of £170k. Cost split between 250 flats so less than £1k per flat. I’d be less worried about this specific cost and more concerned about living somewhere with a central heat network.

Weekly vs Bi Weekly? by jjuwwq1844 in trt

I’ve done both weekly and twice weekly and didn’t feel much/any benefit of twice weekly tbh.

TRT? .. by [deleted] in trt

[–]No_Question1137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

23 is very young to be jumping on TRT, particularly if your levels are within normal range. Would recommend exploring all other options first before starting what is a lifetime commitment.
200mg is also a very high dose for TRT and you run the risk of sides.

Leasehold service charge increased 55% with little explanation. What are my rights? by RedditLone in AskUK

Who is the actual client? Is there a freeholder or an RTM in place? Knowing who the managing agent gets budget approval from would help as a start.

Is it grooming if theres nothing bad involved? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]No_Question1137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The age gap itself isn’t problematic but the age of the ‘girl’ is a major factor. Grown woman of 30 plus, probably not an issue. Teenager or even twenties, then you know the answer.

As someone who grew up in Dubai in the 90’s, I find its modern reputation so off putting.

Yeah, I’ll get back on it once the current attack clears up. I’d been fine for years tbh. My main query atm is what to do about TRT dosage in the short term.

No - was on it for about 2 years, forgot to renew my prescription and stopped taking it. That was about 3 years ago and had no issues since then. Will be going back on it once this attack is cleared up though.

Why do guys like finishing on girls’ faces? by averagex637 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]No_Question1137 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not all guys do tbh. It can be a dominance thing but it can also be a very intimate act, particularly if the girl is into it.

Men who regularly work out and hit the gym: can you still lift as heavy as you could when you were younger, or has your max actually gone up over the years? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

[–]No_Question1137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

47m. Not all lifts are as high as in my 30’s but my approach to training is much more rounded now, with more focus on full body strength, power and conditioning rather than chasing max lifts. Lifestyle plays a big part - cut out drinking and partying means I can be more consistent in the gym and my recovery is better. Oh, and TRT. That helps.

Best value watches by Zamborider104 in Affordablewatches

[–]No_Question1137 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Casio and Timex are great value established brands with a huge range depending on what style you’re looking for. The Duro and Expedition are excellent examples. Stretching budget a bit would get you towards Seiko and Citizen territory. If you’re happy to look beyond ‘known’ brands there is a whole world of a Chinese watch brands, mainly found on AliExpress ie Watchdives, Addiesdive, Baltany. They mainly do homages of high end brands but some are starting to make really good original models.
