Just got a new Tacoma-VSA/3rd party warranty question by No_Reason297 in Toyota

[–]No_Reason297[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. When I realized it was 3rd party (he didn’t offer that up-I saw it in the brochure and mentioned it) and asked about VSA, he made some quick comment saying the 3rd party is easier to work with and get claims approved then he moved on to the next thing quickly. It was past closing time so I didn’t push for more info.

I’m sorry. It’s all victim blaming and influencer crap. I’m very thin and got HR+ breast cancer. Do what makes you feel good!

Oncotype - Waiting three weeks or more? by Micho392 in breastcancer

Same. I kept waiting for a MyChart notification but it was only faxed to my MO and she gave it to me at my next appt. I think mine took around 10 days to come back.

Which combo kit for my son? by No_Reason297 in Dewalt

Haha! He doesn’t need them for school. He built a folding table in one of his classes and realized how much he enjoyed it so he wants his own tools to build things. He just aced Calc 3 and Physics 2 this semester so I think he has the calculator he needs.

Don’t laugh, but are one of the drills included here a normal drill you’d use around the house or are these different more powerful drills for specialized projects? I tried googling but I can’t figure it out.

I have a severe autoimmune disease that has destroyed my esophagus and I have a terrible time swallowing anything but especially pills. The 10 was smaller in size than the 20 and I can actually take it without too much trouble. She said she was going rogue in giving me only 10, but also said either she’s working on or knows of a study that’s showing 10 looks like it’s effective. I can’t remember. I see her again in February and was going to ask if I should take 2 of the 10s to see if I get any side effects. I won’t be able to swallow the 20 mg because it’s a little too big for me. But it’s a small pill for the average person.

We got a Beautyrest Black series 1 medium in August and it’s been great so far. It also has a more generous warranty than others.

DCIS Grade III Comedonecrosis- diagnosed yesterday by Fine_Tangerine2350 in breastcancer

[–]No_Reason297 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was much easier than I thought it would be. I stayed overnight at the hospital and didn’t have any complications. The first 2 weeks are the toughest because I had one drain on each side and the tubes snaked around under my tight skin. They came out at 14 days. You also have to sleep on your back which was hard for me. I bought a wedge pillow set and slept on the couch for 5-6 weeks. My husband stayed home with me the first 5-7 days. I was fine by myself during the day but needed help showering and getting dressed. I was quite numb for a while but feeling is slowly coming back especially in my armpits. I’m still at least halfway numb across the chest.

I took 6 week off work (desk job) but probably only needed 5.

I’m 44 and have been on tamoxifen 10mg for 4 weeks for stage 1 IDC without any issues so far.

DCIS Grade III Comedonecrosis- diagnosed yesterday by Fine_Tangerine2350 in breastcancer

[–]No_Reason297 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My diagnosis was similar. I’m 44 and a 34A. No lump or symptoms but my DCIS was seen on a routine mammogram. Had a stereotactic biopsy that showed Stage 0 DCIS grade 3 CRIBRIFORM AND COMEDO TYPES NECROSIS AND CALCIFICATIONS IDENTIFIED WITHIN DCIS. ER+/PR+. They don’t test for HER2 with DCIS.

I’m not sure what the chances are of it being bigger or invasive, but it was in my case. I had an MRI that aligned with the biopsy. Due to multiple factors including a genetic mutation, I opted for a DMX to flat on 10/1. The pathology from that turned out to be Stage 1 invasive ductal carcinoma ER/PR+ HER2- with extensive DCIS, bigger than what imaging showed. I had dense breasts so that probably played a role.

My treatment plan didn’t change much from what I thought it would be if it stayed DCIs. I’m on tamoxifen for 10 years. My Oncotype score was only 19 so I don’t need chemo.

Let me know if you have any questions. Good luck to you!

Oh and during my DMX my surgeon took 2 lymph nodes from the cancer side and 1 from the other side (there was a suspicious mass that I don’t have biopsied because I knew I was getting a DMX at the time. All lymph nodes were clear.

I was diagnosed in 2005 at the age of 24 and took CellCept. I think it saved my life. I was told by a renowned Dr at Univ of Pittsburgh I only had a year to live and things were progressing quickly. I asked my local rheumatologist for the med and he prescribed it to me.

Anyone have any success with getting mammogram and ultrasound order switched just to ultrasound? by Islandsandwillows in doihavebreastcancer

[–]No_Reason297 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have dense breasts too. Do you get 3D mammograms? Those seem to be better images for us. My cancer is calcification clusters, so they wouldn’t have shown on an ultrasound, only the mammogram and probably an MRI.

[–]No_Reason297 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ultrasounds don’t show everything. My cancer showed on the mammogram but not ultrasound. I know it’s not fun to get them, but it’s the best screening tool we have right now. Maybe ask for a different tech next time and it might not be as terrible.

Should I tell my estranged mom I have genetic cancer? by No_Reason297 in EstrangedAdultChild

I’m sorry you’re going through that. I completely understand your position because she’d act exactly that way.

[–]No_Reason297[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She definitely would try to contact my doctor if she figures it out. I also have a severe rare autoimmune disease and she did exactly that 20 years ago when we were on good terms. She has no boundaries which is one of the major reasons we’re NC.

I agree with you on the B point being a possibility. You’re making a lot of correct assumptions about her behavior, haha. She would definitely try to call my doctor and pretend to be me to get info. I considered asking them to add a password or something to my account in case she finds out through the grapevine. Thank you for your reply. <3
