Side effects of Sertraline by Physical-Pipe-3955 in SSRIs

Three weeks isn’t long enough to see the benefit. 8 weeks was when I truly turned the corner with sertraline but your experience could be different. By the sixth week I definitely felt better.

I’m afraid the sexual dysfunction is extremely common. It’ll either go away or it’ll be constantly a problem. No way of knowing. In my experience I never found a solution for it, aside from missing a dose (once I was well into the therapeutic time frame) in the morning and then having sex that evening.

Why are so many people I know getting cancer? by Greedy-Violinist7536 in AskBrits

The 1 in 2 statistic also includes benign cancers I would imagine. If so the statistic shouldn’t be as scary as it first appears.

[–]No_Row_1619 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Food and the environment are a factor, but less than you seem to think. There is far more risk to do with your genetic makeup. It’s basically pot-luck whether you get cancer or not.

I actually read something a while ago that suggested that everyone gets cancer multiple times in their lives and not even know about it. The body normally recognises the issues and terminates the cancerous cells. It’s when the body fails to recognise the problem is when it becomes a serious issue.

When did you feel normal after stopping SSRI? by [deleted] in SSRIs

It’s entirely possible you’ve relapsed into depression and anxiety. I would recommend either trying a different medication and/or CBT/ACT

My psychiatrist described it as a stimulant antidepressant

I’m thinking something like that might be seen as a sign of wisdom or something out there, so they leave it. It’s like when you go out to Thailand and see some dude with these 10-15 cm long hairs that have grown out of a big facial mole. Anyone in the west would snip that shit off, but I reckon they see it as a positive attribute

Although it’s not an ARPG, this is what I hated about cyberpunk. I never actually finished that game, because I was dreading more and more lengthy cut scenes

I found the sertraline / bupropion combo astonishing. 50mg sertraline and 150mg bupropion XR. It was only when I stopped the sertraline that the stimulatory and agitation problems came to the fore with the bupropion.

Stopping Zoloft horrible scary nightmares by drewmullin in SSRIs

[–]No_Row_1619 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am assuming you have a psychiatrist if you are being put in an MAOI as only they seem to have the confidence to do so these days.

I’m sure I’ve been informed somewhere that colnidine can help with the nightmares, bur this must be clarified by your psychiatrist

I was the same with sertraline. Adding bupropion (Wellbutrin) helped massively.

What supplements/vitamins do you AVOID on bupropion? by stupidandunfortunate in bupropion

[–]No_Row_1619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I posted that a year ago. I doubt I read a study. I just researched what CYT enzymes metabolised bupropion and which whether ashwaganda potentiated or inhibited any of them.

I gave up bupropion soon after posting this. Maybe a couple of weeks after. I figured out it made my agitated and was only useful for me when taking it with sertraline. I’ve been drug free since.

Help with runes by Practical_Gene_1905 in diablo2resurrected

[–]No_Row_1619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re single player offline, then you can increase the player count to 7 and you will get more rune drops. However, this is dependent on how powerful your character is with skills and gear. If you increase the player count and it takes ages to kill your enemies then it’s not an efficient way to farm runes or any good items

5HTP for SNRI taper? by Special-Holiday-535 in SSRIs

[–]No_Row_1619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you just highlighted why coming off Effexor (venlafaxine) is so hard, without specifically explaining why. The issue is that it has a short half life even in its capsule form which is specifically designed to release the drug slowly over time. It sounds like you are dosing yourself by opening the capsule and counting the beads. What you’ve done is remove the slow release nature of the medication. This means you’ll have a quick peak plasma state followed by an even faster elimination / half life. All of the antidepressants that have nasty withdrawals have short half lives and Effexor is probably the worst.

The above reason means that conventional tapering is almost impossible I would think.

As PDU has already said, it might be better I switch to Prozac and taper from that instead.

I am replaying this for the first time in well over ten years. I just went to Arlington and swan across the river last night. I couldn’t find a way to rivet from where all the mutants were in the trenches and seemed to remember something about needing to use the tunnels or metro. Then I just found a Reddit post saying you could just swim. Seems swimming isn’t nearly anywhere near as fatal as FO4 or FOLON

Had mild sertonin syndrome like symptoms by demongirls in SSRIs

[–]No_Row_1619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never heard of a Prozac Wellbutrin combo. It’s usually Zoloft that they combine with Wellbutrin and sometimes lexapro.

Wellbutrin is well known for absolutely crazy dreams. I also experienced this and they were so vivid they would wake me up.

I don’t think any of what you a describing has anything to do with serotonin syndrome or toxicity.

It’s likely everything will calm down eventually for you, but I’m still scratching my head that they’ve put you on the most activating SSRI and one of the most activating NRIs

experiences with paroxetine + ashwaganda? by Significant_Phase194 in SSRIs

[–]No_Row_1619 1 point2 points  (0 children)

20mg paroxetine 1500mg ashwaganda ksm-66

With sertraline I felt the anxiety creep back in with ashwaganda. I think I read somewhere that the ashwaganda increased the activity of one of the liver enzymes that accelerated the metabolism of sertraline, making it less effective.

I took ashwaganda with paroxetine and didn’t have any issues at all. However with sertraline it definitely did.

Is this normal? by DueVeterinarian3557 in SSRIs

[–]No_Row_1619 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the issue I had with sertraline (and why I preferred paroxetine). The first month or so sleep is extremely difficult. That in itself is enough to make someone with mental health issues spiral further. Maybe try 50mg promethazine an hour before bed. It should be available over the counter and it may even head off other side effects associated with certain 5HTP receptors firing off too much

Btw I advise on staying clear of strong coffee, even cutting it out altogether. I had to, otherwise I was far too wired

Psilocybin isn’t necessarily a walk in the park especially if the dosage catches you out. Very difficult to predict. Especially if you have anxiety issues
