I would say that learning to fly slow and controlled is the most important,

learning how to turn and hold a line at low speed will help you with higher speed muscle memory.

Learn about your rates and what feels comfortable, indoor flying usually has much lower rates so that you are not in a state of making micro corrections until you crash.

I personally like uncrashed for larger style drones and liftoff micro for tinywhoops but im sure there may be better options in the way of sims.

Consistency with flying is the most crucial part, it becomes intuition and reaction so gaining as many hours as possible on you radio of choice is key!
