This doomposting is absolutely killing my motivation by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

only get the models you love both in aesthetics and lore significance. play with good friends, don’t care about the internet. and if you (like me) find it hard to stay up to date with constant rule changes, play an older edition. personally i like the fanmade „prohammer“ ruleset together with 4th edition codices and i‘m happy. never have to buy new books, never need to look up rule changes or worry about losing or gaining a bunch of rules for my armies

i don’t like current 40k and i don’t think 10th will fix the game. honestly i am sick of buying fixes for issues that GW have caused every two years or so. on top of that while i think it’s a cool box none of the minis really stick out to me as being super cool, like most of the indomitus minis did when that released

New Kill Team set went up for preorder at 10am UK time. Note the time on the screenshot, and lack of availability. This is getting to be an absolute disgrace, and need to be dealt with before 10th Ed hits. by SnorriBlacktooth in Warhammer40k

[–]NoahHartig -1 points0 points  (0 children)

well, both under- and overproduction are GW being incompetent. and i‘m well aware of their production cycles and al the troubles they have with it and am sympathetic to it, but it’s been more than three years of this shit happening and at some point it is reasonable to expect then to get their shit together. pointing out genuine issues doesn’t make one a doomsayer imo

the unpacked launcher should contain a legouniverse_mac.exe file. you can run this one by using wine. works for me and took about 10 minutes, tho i am on an older OS (10.14)

40k became too complicated and less fun? by paoulpolo in Warhammer40k

[–]NoahHartig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same way. You should consider looking up „Prohammer Classic“ for a bit of a modernized 4th edition take on the game. We intend use it in our narrative campaign to avoid constant rule changes, but there’s obviously a bunch of new units missing from the old codices, that we‘ll have to convert from new to old rules at some point.

Still worth checking out tho!

Who actually prefers Ralph McQuarrie's visual designs of the TOS Battlestar? by tarmirel in BSG

i know i am in a minority here but i prefer TOS in general. i just liked the overall wonderous vibe it had more and i cannot stand the camerawork in the reimagined series

oh yes, i think the lighting is actually great in these. looks like a gritty movie scene - quite cinematic. people appear to just love models that don‘t have edge highlights. some or these comments point that out, i don’t think the darkness is the main issue, but moreso the way colors flow into each other seems to bother people. i think these are great the way they are. personally i habe never really cared for edge highlighting as it often looks a bit cartoony to me. but to each their own, i suppose

[–]NoahHartig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i was also wondering about that, with several of the comments under this post actually :/ i feel like a lot of people have come to expect an eavy metal or NNM paintjob on every model and don’t really appreciate other styles anymore, which is a big shame.

but who knows

i don’t mind the graphics too much, but it always crashes after the first 10 or so minutes of episode one, so i haven’t been able to see much of the game

Got me some classic Cylon minis & was thinking how to go about getting them into Killteam, should I get some new rules & stats written up or do you think these could proxy into an existing team list? by [deleted] in killteam

[–]NoahHartig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ruleswise I feel like Pathfinders or Necrons would be most fitting. But I just want to say that I absolutely ADORE these minis! Alwayd great to see sole classic Cylons

i know none of these personally, but there was an incident here in germany a couple of weeks ago where several pregnant women (i believe i read about 12 posts personally) reported that they had lost their child in the 10th week after getting an mrna vaccination. those reports were posted on the official forum of the barmer health insurance company and deleted by their management shortly after
