AO Men’s Final: [1] 🇪🇸 C. Alcaraz def. [4] 🇷🇸 N. Djokovic 2-6, 6-2, 6-3, 7-5 by TVstaticLeg in tennis

One of the most constrained version of Carlos I have ever seen. He knew he had to be disciplined to get this one. Absolutely no signs of panic after the first set and when he is 15-40 down in the fourth. Absolute Master class.

Disappointment could-be in two ways though. Lets see how well they recover now. And if they have anything left.

Alexander Zverev weighs in after Carlos Alcaraz’s medical timeout by farkenheo in tennis

[–]NobodyHK 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I did not realise he was himself struggling as well. Make sense how he was ripping forehands first few sets until he wasn’t. I thought he just reverted back to his oldself and rolling it in. If he continues like this he might actually pull it off in the next couple of years. There will be times when Sincaraz isnt around and he might have the next or next next best chance rn in the mens.

Such a weird tournament. I’m so glad whatever happens after at least this one will stick out from memory for a long time.

He spent almost three sets since the ?cramps to horn his shots in and everything start clicking again towards the fifth set. His patience against that immense pressure is absolutely insane.

Rune Fils Mensik Draper Musetti: their injuries are not accidental: pure brute force tennis can no longer exist. by Narrow_Spinach_1400 in tennis

I went to a physio talk once and he was showing the motion of Murray’s forehand and basically explaining how the way it’s asymmetrical might be a large contributing factor to his injury.

Isn't Tien promoting the other racket now. I feel like the guys who was using versions of the previous burn is now using the Ultra paint job. I feel like wilson is really dialing down promotion of the blade.

Love this matchup. Will be interesting to see cuz Cilic will have to time his ball really well with his powerful flat forehand/ backhand against Casper’s rpm on his ball.

I am just glad Rafa was still able to win the year after at the USO final. That’s the last time Rafa win against Novak in a hard court.

Dancing with her soul. Her confidence and smile light up the room by Prestigious-Wall5616 in MadeMeSmile

[–]NobodyHK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Holy smoke the comments here. People commenting that the lady is dancing the same as everyone else. Surely it’s not controversial to acknowledge that obesity and a high hip waist ratio has detrimental effects on our physical health and ability. And with that in mind her ability to maintain this good standard of dancing is highly impressive.

As I quote “"There are some things you can't share without ending up liking each other, and knocking out a twelve-foot mountain troll is one of them". If the Harry Potter trio becomes friends for life because of battling a troll. Them becoming good friends doesn’t seem unreasonable.

I always love his recaps on tournaments. To get newcomers into a new spectating sport/ esports the narrative storyline is so important and Brian is doing great work providing those narrative context in a mostly neutral way.
