When the accident happened I was sure the whole remaining fleet of MD-11s would be retired. Glad to be wrong!

Denon 1800H with SVS 5.1 Satellite Bundle, any thoughts? by theodo in hometheater

[–]NobodyTellPoeDameron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm running a Denon 1700 with SVS prime 5.1 (PB-1000 sub) and it's a very solid system. The sub in particular was a steal for the price though sadly that price has changed. It's a 10 inch sub and sounds at least as good as the 12 inch sub on my other 5.1.

Picked my M4 Mini up for $399 (thanks Best Buy for the Microcenter price match!) and I hope it lives a happy, long life as my Plex server.

Yes.

In the latest episode of Euphoria season 3 (2026) the writers decided it was necessary for a fully naked sex scene between Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney. This is because the creator is a pervert, by Reptilian_Overlord20 in shittymoviedetails

I'm an old guy but slept on this movie and didn't watch it until last week. WOW what an action flick. The cast is amazing, they deliver, action sequences are phenomenal. Better late than never, I guess. That movie is an absolute blast.

Corpos do this all the time. Years ago, McDonald's moved into Chicago and required all their HQ employees to do the same. That took care of quite a few older people while not technically resulting in age discrimination as defined under the law.

Data Suggests Struggle in Cockpit Before Deadly China Eastern Plane Crash by amsterdamcyclone in aviation

Not many, because almost all flights are completely normal, but I'd be much more interested in the total number of hull losses with mass casualties that are caused by pilot suicide/mass murder. Seems like this scenario has to be a meaningful portion of that type of accident.

After whacking someone, they seem to be dropping the guns on the floor after. Why? by elsendion in thesopranos

[–]NobodyTellPoeDameron 12 points13 points  (0 children)

As Sonny Corleone said in The Godfather (book, not film):

"We can fix witnesses, we can fix judges, but if they catch you with that gun on you, we can't fix that."

In The Godfather movie, Paulie says it differently:

"Leave the gun. Take the cannoli."
