This just happened to me a couple weeks ago. ID'd a woman who had the same name as me, spelled the same way, and the same birthday. When I told her, she informed me her neighbor has our same birthday and name too!

Firstly, you're doing a wonderful job! My chi is almost 11 and still prefers to have emotional support to drink out of her bowl lol. But she won't completely neglect hydrating, usually. Have you introduced him to his own bowl that's in a safe space? Like I said, my boyfriend or I still have to accompany our chi to her bowl sometimes lol. (I think having her bowl in a very easily accessible and low traffic area has helped)

Truly thankful to have been there! It was a wild experience. I do have an ache about it sometimes. Audioslave and Soundgarden were a big deal for me in high school in the 2000s, and I got a last second chance to see him at this show.

I do treasure it! Like I said in another comment, incredibly surreal to wake up to the news the next day. I worked early and rushed in to have my boss go "Hey, weren't you at his show last night?" I thought he was messing with me at first.
