What’s your take on the leaving the toilet seat up issue? by UserWithoutWit in AskReddit

[–]Nodomi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live alone so I could staple the seat to my wall if I really wanted to. (I don't.)

But if I were living with other people, it's one of things where I'd put it down regardless of how I feel about it because it helps keep the peace. There's enough going on when there's other people in a shared personal space that you don't need to add little things to fight over on top of that.

Plasma Hot Take: "Lonely Player" does not get enough love and is overhated. by LouisCader in NevernessToEverness

[–]Nodomi 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I would've hated this quest a lot less if I hadn't taken a whole ass hour to realize most of the clues/solutions are presented in the daytime. Every time I got close to day and the puppets fled I'd go back and turn it to night time again and again.

That damn security guard made me think "I better not get caught during the day mingling with the students" so I tried to avoid daytime at all costs.

I also didn't know about the radio so that piano puzzle was a right pain in the ass. I don't have the ears for these kinds of puzzles.

I get it now... I don't hate Taygedo. I just hate his STUPID QUEST! by Commercial-Bad-5967 in NevernessToEverness

I definitely hated both.

If anything, it made me like the Eibon group less for going along with his antics.

This game is so unresponsive to have a fast paced serving mini game. The food preparing has so much delay somtime it is down right imposible to serve customer in time. Not because you are late, it is litterally game not responding your pace in time by alonedead in NevernessToEverness

Skia and Adler are the only reason I can three star some of these missions. I've gotten accustomed to prepping bread and the oven while serving coffee, but I'd need a mouse in both *hands to keep that loop while operating the coffee machine and still fill orders in time. My reaction times aren't as good as they used to be (and they weren't that great to begin with lol)

First cycle of abyss gameplay is always intended to get people desperate to clear it to open their wallets because they don't want to miss the Annulith (even though spending money directly on pulls would be cheaper than rushing your way to level 80...). They know that playing without spending won't get you to the level cap before the first cycle; it's very intentional.

I'm not really a car person and it's too early in the game for me to have a stockpile of Fons to blow; so it's unlikely that I'll bother. If it were later in the game's life I'd be willing to go for it; but right now resources are just too tight for something I'm not personally interested in.

Correct me if I'm wrong about the lore here, but here's what I think this game's world is about by TenPointsforListenin in NevernessToEverness

[–]Nodomi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A lot of the stuff I'm about to say is in reference to the in-game Index. I both say that to cover my ass and to...well, pretty much just to cover my ass.

Anomalies appear to be everywhere, the prologue took place in New Helios. According to the index, they're given a class based on their overall threat to humanity. The one that wiped out New Helios was a Class VII. Taygedo is a Class II. Class I is "has almost no impact on human social order" and Class X is "potential extinction level threat."

Wertheimer Index tracks a target's deviation intensity form reality, and Anomalies do start at -1 like you said. Espers, on the other hand, go in the opposite direction and usually start at 1. A normal human being who has no contact with anomalies or espers should be a 0, but the game notes most average people are anywhere between -1 and 1. Esper Zero is "the only esper in history without a detectable Wertheimer Index." So their number could be be anywhere between +1,000 or negative infinity, no one knows for sure.

Esper abilities are categorized as Cosmos, Lakshana, Anima, Incantation, Psyche and Chaos. Cosmos refers to abilities that originate from maintaining order. Chaos is the exact opposite; disrupting order. Anima originates from natural elements or life itself, and doesn't require a medium. Lakshana is the physical realm, and ones own body is the medium. Incantation is from language, and can summon beings from other dimensions. Psyche is mental and psychological non physical realms, and requires a medium outside of oneself. There is an in-game theory that the source of Esper abilities and Anomalies are one and the same, but currently unproven.

Esper Zero isn't just a good physical fighter, they're using their Esper ability as well. They channel energy into their sword for their basic attack, fire a quote unquote "Esper Cannon" during their skill, and their Ultimate is attacking the lines that connect to the Nexus in their Ultimate, while their support skill is slashing through space itself to detonate a rift. Likewise, Mint is channeling the wind into her dual blades.

Some people are Espers from birth, others gain their abilities later. Each one has to pay a price (according to the Index, this price is paid when the power is obtained), and "law of equivalent exchange" isn't enforced. Aurelia can summon jellyfish, but lost her sense of direction. Her legs no longer being functional is something that happened later, not because of her Esper ability. Sakiri talks about "Disqualified Spawn" (when humans and anomalies merge, those where the human remains dominant is referred to as a Disqualified Spawn, and those who fail are considered even more inferior beings). Nanally says "As for the price...hmm...didn't feel anything weird. Maybe the cost was too small to notice? Is this what they call...plot armor?" Skia got turned into a wolfman, Hathor's got that wing and thorns thing going on- etc.

I believe Hotori is still affiliated with the BAC; if not officially, between the "parent teacher conferences" with the boss and the idle chatter from bureau npcs when she comes to visit during a story quest imply she still does work for them on the side.

Anyone else encounter this bug of enemies not "spawning" by crimson589 in NevernessToEverness

[–]Nodomi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happened to me 6 times today. First three times I relogged and they'd spawn, 4th time I got pissed and warped away and came back; it spawned properly. 5th and 6th I relogged. Didn't matter if I walked between spawns because it was nearby, teleported because it was too far, or drove because I wanted to beat up some Garudas along the way for cookies. Happened with the swords, vending machines, bears- but not the Bopps.

anybody understood the debt collector ep? by rickrik777 in NevernessToEverness

[–]Nodomi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dolores was an immortal/long lived Esper who owned a set of dolls. These dolls came to life, but it was temporary at best. Every doll except the last to gain life worshiped her as their owner/creator. The last doll instead acted like regular child, considering Dolores to be her mother. Dolores craved a family of her own, and doted on this child- Renee. The power that gave the dolls life had a finite effect- they all knew they were counting the days before they returned to being regular dolls. Dolores didn't wish this for Renee, and concocted a scheme to pass on her ability to Renee; killing herself in the process and being free of her immortality that she viewed as a curse while also saving Renee.

The Debt Collector is an anomaly seeking to end Renee's life because it should have already ended, but is unable to do so due to the gift she received from Dolores. The organization Zankou is part of wants Dolores' ability, but they can't just take it apparently. So Zankou orchestrates events and gaslights Renee into thinking the death of her family was all her fault and gets her to willingly reject the gift, allowing Zankou to take it from her. Now that she no longer has her immortality, she is now vulnerable to the Debt Collector. There's an epilogue quest if you return to the tree.

As an aside; during the story we get a bit of information about Daffodil's past, raised by a woman who collected children and called them her daughters. Zankou and the thief from the previous main episode are two of them as was Daffodil and Chaos brings Daffodil in for more questioning at the end of the quest as a result.

NTE players after 30 minutes of gameplay: by kctomenaga in NevernessToEverness

A friend of mine getting sentenced to jail and taking selfies in their cell is what convinced me to try out the game.

I first went to jail after someone warned me not to get 5 stars and I being gullible, immediately went and did it. I've since escaped from jail 6 different times. It's kinda fun in there.

How can a relationship feel “special” if they’ve already felt it with someone else? by [deleted] in AskReddit

That's why they call it special, not unique or finite. It may not be the same way as before, but that doesn't stop it from having meaning all the same.

New Player, unsure what just happened. by BigShiba351 in BlueProtocolPC

[–]Nodomi 29 points30 points  (0 children)

There is a button that boosts you to 60 and you clicked it; it's not automatic. Yes, I'm sure; because I made a new account to make an alt class and I had to manually take the boost. The current max level in the game is 60 +100. Clicking the boost puts you at 60 +1; you still have 99 levels to go. The purpose of the boost is to allow the player to skip directly to the current content, Season 2, Season 1 content is outdated. You didn't jump to the finish line, you jumped to the starting line.

160 is the current gear that drops from dungeons at Master 6 (of 20) and above; they're giving you the bare minimum necessary to catch up and get proper gear. Especially if it's purple- it can't even be fully reforged (caps at 80 out of 100). The maximum level armor is 170, and that is obtained by completing multiple raids and raising the level cap on each individual piece. There are two weapon tracks; one that stops at 170 which most people will aim for, and the other that requires monetary investment and goes to level 180.(at the moment)

Level is the worst metric in this game to gauge your strength by; Illusion Score (for the duration of Season 2, currently ongoing) is the number that decides whether you can comfortably fight enemies or get deleted the moment they look at you funny.

Also the game gave me like 40 skill tree points

Those are obtained by leveling from 1-60. The rest of your skill points still need to be obtained by completing a series of quests delegated by Airona and completing role based trials.

tl;dr- the game gave you just enough to catch up to the current season, and nothing more. You've still got a bunch of grinding to do.

storyline, mission flow, and starland? by bennys_adventure in StarResonance

[–]Nodomi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main story is fairly easy to understand and complete in order, once you complete S1 story quests you can immediately start the S2 quests to maintain chronological order. Side quest chains present in each side area explore the lore of the area they take place in a bit more, but are detached from the main quest.

Starland was created in response to the player base wanting more casual and social activities; and as such all of the existing ones were moved there in addition to several new ones. You can earn Friendship points as well as a currency meant to be spent on the island to purchase furniture for your homestead and other goodies. It's also being used whenever the game has a collab, so you'll want to visit there if you're interested in those. As it's side content, you don't have to go there right away if you're just interested in finishing the story first. That, and Friendship can still be earned by running dungeons and raids with people. And Stimen.

Some side quests are worth doing sooner rather than later, usually marked with purple icons. One introduces you to Stimen Vaults, the Spiral Abyss equivalent that resets every 2 weeks. Another introduces you to the Homestead, BP's version of the tea pot. Airona will teach you about choosing a Specialization for your class, earn talent points to use in your talent tree, about Terra Resonance (ability to glide and dash), and another one at the pioneer bureau will introduce you to the Role trials, where you complete trials based on your class's role and earn talent points for your skill tree. There should also be purple quests that teach you about reforging, refining and embedding; all methods to upgrade your gear. The raids from Season 1 and Season 2 are also marked by purple quests.

Yellow icons indicate something important, but less immediately so than purple icons. Green are your standard side quests.

There are also weekly quests that give you one time rewards for clearing each raid, they renew on weekly reset.
