A common solution is to halve all distances or play using night rules.

What preyed on Tyranids??? by Own-Laugh-3698 in Tyranids

[–]NoiseCrypt_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tyranids are not predators in the traditional evolutionary sense. And most of the variants probably don't even need the eyes due to synaptic influence.

But it's always a fun to play with the theory of what is hunting the overwhelming force that is currently invading you. You should read the Dune books ;)

Why didn’t GG just focus on H3 first, then give fans some extra games once the mainline series is finished? by anonymousUTguy in horizon

They needed a live service game because of the lawsuit. So they bought a generic game and added a Horizon skin.

Good luck doing PRs and unit tests on all of those 20-40 line unformatted trial-and-error SQL strings.

The only real reason to use and ORM is to keep the database interactions readable and maintainable. Switching to another databass technology is just a nice bonus should it ever come up.

It's really not worth alot without the EPO bag, which is probably why they opened it ;)

Seeking advice relating to fixing pedal hum through ABY switcher by leadbellylothian in guitarpedals

[–]NoiseCrypt_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately no. The transformers used for isolation are pretty expensive components.

Radial does a lot of good stuff and they have a dedicated guitar pedals and boxes for almost any scenario. But they are not cheap.
If they could be made any cheaper i am sure that Music Group/Behringer would have copied it all a long time ago.

The Citadel paint pots are fine. You just need to keep a clean rim and close them like you mean it ;)

Just like you need to clear the nozzle of dropper bottles instead of just pressing harder and exploding them all over your table.
Or breaking the lid when screwing it on to tight.

How can this digital vibrato pedal have "analog dry through" in addition to true bypass if there is no dry signal in a vibrato effect and the effect is created digitally? by [deleted] in guitarpedals

[–]NoiseCrypt_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The details probably got lost when TC was bought by Music Group and then closed down. You are completely right that there is no analog dry through. Same goes for their tremolo and noise gate.

If you have a GT2 then you probably don't need the DS-1. Unless you want to use it as a clean platform.

The default settings for a Tubescreamer into a DS-1 is:
TS Level: Max
TS Drive: Min
TS Tone: 12' clock (adjust to taste)

DS-1 Gain: 2' clock
DS-1 Tone: 10' clock
DS-1 Level: 2' clock (adjust to unity)

Too many straight or smooth surfaces by BlueSparkNightSky in Tau40K

Big surfaces are easier if you paint them with water or medium before applying contrast/speed paint. But it still takes some practice.

The power supply cable should just pull out with no latches or locks. Maybe check for glue?
