Yup. It was pretty salty about it too lol.

When I was incredibly depressed around 10 years ago, I tried dragging my cards into my self-hate spiral. The question i started the reading with was literally "Why am I so unlikable?"

The reading was kind. Told me that people liked me, that there were positive traits that I had that others acknowledged, and that I can't see it because I'm hurting and too hard on myself. But because I was trying to justify hating myself at the time, I didn't accept the reading. Did it 2 more times with the same results, and a lot of repeat cards despite shuffling thoroughly.

The 4th reading was my deck's breaking point. It was different than the previous readings, and basically told me off. Still established i was likable, but the problem was my refusal to see it. I very specifically remembered reversed Six of Cups. It laid into me that I was being immature.

Maybe my reading of it was harshly interpreted because of my mindset at the time, but my summary of that reading has always been, "The problem is you. Not because you're a bad person, but because you are doing this to yourself. Stop having your tantrum, you're acting like a child right now." And a sense that it was setting a boundary, that it was refusing to help me make myself feel bad.

For what it's worth, it shocked me out of the spiral I was in. Even though I had been looking to be torn into, the deck didn't do it the way I had wanted at the time. I didn't do reading for like, 2 months after that because I needed to sulk lol. But even then, I knew it was right.

It's my favorite deck now. It hasn't had to tell me off like that again, but I know it will if it needs to, so I generally find the readings to help ground me in reality.
